First Amendment Strike Force – WASHINGTON POST
Meet Cleve Wootson. He is apparently the resident censorship advocate at the Washington Post. Cleve was in the White House Press Room Monday and asked Karine Jean-Pierre about the impending Donald Trump-Elon Musk interview to be staged on Xitter. The media were in varying stages of annoyance and outrage over this, and Cleve was there to do best to help the cause of the news outlets.
Wootson actually asked KJP at that time if President Biden was going to do anything about the impending meeting on the social platform. He literally asked if Biden was going to take any steps to stop it:
I think that misinformation on Twitter is not just a campaign issue. It’s a — you know, it’s an America issue. What role does the White House or the president have in sort of stopping that or stopping the spread of that or sort of inter- — intervening in that?
Here is @CleveWootson and the @WashingtonPost, your sources for pro-censorship coverage.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – POLITICO
Recommended
Curious what you would deem to be a success?
Before the Trump-Musk meeting was underway, they encountered tech problems, largely due to Xitter being targeted with a cyber attack on its servers. Politico used this delay to stipulate that the affair was a catastrophe. This is the description for a streaming event that was watched by at least 3 million people. Globally, through other outlets piggybacking, it is measured into the hundreds of millions.

Both Kinds of Standards – ABC NEWS
Apparently, claims of technical problems being doubted is a new standard.
ABC News too joined the chorus of media outrage at Trump going on Xitter to speak with Musk, instead of…well, them. On “Good Morning America,” Rachel Scott was covering the digital meeting, and while covering the portion of the tech issues, she was extremely dubious about Musk’s claim of the DDS attack they encountered:
He provided no evidence of such a cyber attack.
So now we simply call into question there were legitimate tech issues? Interesting approach, considering that just over a week ago, Trump went to the National Association of Black Journalists for their interview, and that event was delayed for nearly the same amount of time. Technical problems were to blame. Rachel Scott was not seen disputing the claims of that group after the event. I’m sure her being the hostess of the interview was not a factor in the lack of curiosity.
And just to help @RachelVScott with her reporting (because I’m helpful that way) there was evidence seen last night of the DDS attack when it was taking place.

Prose & Contradiction – THE LATE SHOW
The honest reaction is what is truly funny.
Last night, Stephen Colbert kept his perfect record of inviting onto his “The Late Show” set only leftist news commentators intact. This time, it was Kaitlan Collins invited to come on and discuss the recent news in the election, and OMG isn’t Kamala like TOTALLY the greatest, and stuff!
Then came the real comedy.
During a serious segment of their talk, Colbert moved to a new question, and he mentioned how Kaitlan’s network was an objective news outlet.
And the audience broke out in laughter at this unintentional punchline. This underscores just how obvious it is that CNN is in the tank for the left, when even a compliant and favorable audience cannot buy this line of nonsense.
This was a telling moment on “The Late Show” with @StephenAtHome as he spoke with CNN’s @KaitlanCollins.

During a serious discussion Colbert says CNN is objective, and the audience laughs at the comment, though not intended as a joke.

Presentation Paradox – THE MIAMI HERALD
It was not the infamous plane, and he had no legal involvement with the man, but otherwise solid reporting.
The Miami Herald had a BREAKING exclusive uncovered: Donald Trump flew on a jet formerly owned by Jeffrey Epstein!
If you are asking what the big deal is, we’ll explain – it is even less of a deal than it sounds.
So, Trump’s private jet had some mechanical issues, and as a result, he chartered another plane to get to scheduled events. The company he rented from delivered a jet Epstein once owned. We do not know if the Trump camp was even aware of this connection. It was not the infamous Lolita Express, as that plane was decommissioned years ago.
Then what is the story? Well…there really is not one, and the Miami Herald even delivered the completely disqualify detail in its exclusive:
Trump’s use of the plane is likely to add to public scrutiny surrounding his relationship with Epstein, even though no evidence has surfaced that Trump was involved in Epstein’s crimes.

Matching Media Memorandum – VARIOUS OUTLETS
You guys seem REALLY excited about the thing that YOU created.
Yesterday we covered the flood of outlets who were delivering matching glowing assessments of the Kamala Harris campaign. Well…it is getting worse.
While those examples of the media mynah birds took place over the span of days, over at NewsBusters, Bill D’Agostino put together a montage of an obscene number of outlets all declaring that Kamala Harris has this amazing thing going on with her campaign – MOMENTUM!
Making this all the more gross and disgusting is that she has done the bare minimum when it comes to campaigning, so this momentum is due entirely to the press all working together to deliver this to her. This…MOMENTUM!
This is textbook news cycle manipulation.
— Bill D'Agostino (@Banned_Bill) August 12, 2024
They spent weeks astroturfing support for Harris, and now they're all marveling at how much "momentum" she has.
All of these clips are just from this morning. Makes you wonder if the campaign sent out a memo. pic.twitter.com/JNtTfkV7En
