Demo-lition Project – CNN

The details emerging from the defamation suit brought against CNN make the case more clear, and it is rather glaring. The details are further revealed in the court documents, showing that many within the network were declaring the factual basis of the report on a contract worker in Afghanistan was flawed. The story was pushed forward despite these concerns.

More revealing is the internal communications showing disregard for the targeted individual, with vulgar references to the businessman and the desire by many to bring him down. Especially revealing was the use of "black market" to describe the valid business, and how CNN lawyers attempted to have this term mean something else besides illegal activity. The judges on the panel all but laughed off this attempt. The case is moving forward, and there is a chance this can carry damages that exceed those from the Fox News-Dominion defamation settlement.

Legalized Press-titution – MSNBC

  • Is it possible to be more embarrassing than the "Hawk Tuah" girl?

Dr. Anthony Fauci is continuing his promotional tour for his new memoir, and the media continues to be as shameless in slobbering over the flawed doctor. Possibly none have been more swoon-filled than Lawrence O'Donnell, who announced how he was not even considering being anything close to objective about the impending visit to his show.

Matching Media Memorandum – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • Well, now, this arrives just in time – and the press acts just as expected.

As we are on the eve of the first presidential debate, Joe Biden has been hidden away as his handlers are preparing him by throwing a mix of prepared questions, as they also prepare with the best mix of stimulants to keep him upright for the 90-minute endeavor.

Arriving with perfect timing is a report from a collection of more than a dozen Nobel prize-winning economists declaring that a new Donald Trump term will lead to "explosive" inflation. Of course, this is defied by the fact there was scant inflation during his first term and that they need to ignore the explosive inflation seen under Biden – which most of these same economists assured would not occur as a result of Bidenomics.

These are not details we will see from CNN, CBS News, Axios, and many others.

Stealth Story Evolution – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • Was there a reason for the sly change to this headline?!

It was not a surprise when it was seen last night that Jamaal Bowman lost his primary election. The rampant antisemitic Squad Member was predicted to lose, even before the infusion of PAC money flooding into the race for both candidates. But the fact that the pro-Jewish foundation AIPAC tossed millions at his opponent is seen as something of bad influence.

The press has been trying to frame this as somehow improper, but The Times needed to adjust things when it rushed out its own antisemitic approach with its headline, so it was changed rather quietly.

Blue-Anon – WASHINGTON POST

  • While she is "just asking questions," one of those is NOT how does a dog rape Palestinians?

Over the weekend, the recently fired Briahna Joy Gray posted a stunted message about IDF forces training dogs to rape prisoners. While 99.95% of people seeing her message were baffled by the thinking needed to believe such, in rides Taylor Lorenz to defend Ms. Gray as simply asking if it is true. EXCEPT...

Gray did not ask if it was legitimate, she asked if they "covered these reports," meaning she believed the story and wanted it to become legitimized. That Lorenz went to this length would be considered simply astounding…except it is Lorenz we are talking about, so…

Both Kinds of Standards – NEW YORK MAGAZINE

  • It appears to be acceptable violence based on who is in office.

Jonathan Chait has (you may want to sit down) an impacted approach to a story. He comes out with a rebuke of President Trump for – get this – the outbreak of violence and radicalism we saw in 2020.

Moving past the fact that the violence he cited was hyper-left-wing in nature (since he did as well), the amazement is that he says this at the very same time we see current levels of violence and left-wing radicalism sweeping through the country. He pushed this out at the exact same time we saw not one but two instances of antisemitic violence, with Jews targeted by radicalized pro-Palestinian mobs – yet somehow, Joe Biden is not considered responsible.

Pounce of Prevention – THE NEW YORK TIMES

The press continues to struggle with the reality of illegal immigrants committing violence. We covered recently when the Associated Press reported on the death of 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray at the hands of "two men," avoiding entirely they were a pair of Venezuelans released after crossing into the country illegally.

Now, The New York Times addresses her tragic story – with the tragedy, apparently, being that conservatives have dared to highlight the crime committed by those who criminally entered the country:

Suddenly the killing, which had ripped apart a Houston family, became the latest flashpoint in the debate over immigration, seized on by Republicans and immigration opponents who drew a direct line between the crime and President Biden’s policies at the border.
