Presentation Paradox – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • One way they are bound to be correct down the road.

It is not uncommon to see news outlets in a state of confusion, or even contradiction, on climate change issues, but to see one contradict itself in a matter of days is rather precious. Steve Milloy, who collects instances of garbage scientific claims, catches The New York Times tripping itself up on the suggested effects of climate change. In an op-ed just after New Year's, the paper ran a piece explaining how snowfall will become a rarity. Since heavy snowfall has been experienced across the country, the paper reran a year-old piece explaining to us how this, too, is an effect of climate change.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – NBC NEWS

  • Um, we were told it was beauty that killed the beast?

Keeping on the climate topic, NBC News came up with a curiosity, claiming that King Kong was killed off by global warming. Yes, this is what they report. A giant species of ape died off 200,000–300,000 years ago, and climate change is pegged as the cause of stripping away their preferred food source or such.

Climate change predates mankind and its gas stoves and two-stroke lawnmowers. Do with this information what you like, and as always, govern yourselves accordingly.

Low Octane Gas Lighting – NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO

NPR has details about the drowning of a mother and her children at the Mexico-Texas border as they attempted to cross the Rio Grande. The news story, bolstered by words from the White House, indicated that when authorities at the border were notified of the incident taking place, federal border agents were prevented from lending assistance as they were stopped by the troopers from the Texas Department of Public Safety, which along with the National Guard of Texas, have taken control of a crossing in Eagle Pass due to inactivity by government agents.

The report, originating with Texas Public Radio, has since been amended to reflect the details that the Texas authorities conducted the search and found no incident and that the bodies were discovered to be on the Mexican side of the river. The media and the White House want the narrative of Governor Abbot being responsible for these deaths, as the media expose themselves as the Biden sycophants they are, rooting for an open border and demonizing those states enforcing their own protections.

Gilded Reframe – CBS NEWS

CBS's Norah O'Donnell was positively gushing when the new St. Paul, Minnesota, city council was established after its last election. All seven members are women under the age of 40. This is fabulous news! Unless…we apply the normal standard that the press foists on us and note this is a distinct lack of diversity since there are no men to be seen.

Taking this gendered offense even further, as Sister Toldjah noted at our sister site RedState, all seven members are also from the same Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party. Apparently, the favored maxim in the press – "Diversity is our strength" – only applies when they do not like the outcome of elections.

Blue-Anon – NBC NEWS

  • Do you really want to stand behind this woman as your source?

In describing the possibility of a second Donald Trump presidency being the worst possible resolution in non-partisan unbiased fashion, NBC News delivers hysteria of the highest order. They describe many administration officials in the defense complex readying themselves to combat demands from Trump, convinced as they are that he would resort to dictatorial means. The news outlet even trots out the hyperbolic claim that he will be executing his opponents– to give you an indication of how imbalanced this report becomes.

Making all of the conspiracy assertions more worthy of ridicule is that they quote one source, Mary McCord, who was instrumental in pushing forward for the FISA warrant that kicked off the Russian collusion debacle for years.

Gilded Reframe – VARIOUS OUTLETS

Back in November, the press was beyond willing to rush in with the claim that islamophobia was behind the shooting of three students in Vermont who were Palestinian in ethnicity. This should be held in contrast to the time in October when a president of a Detroit synagogue was murdered at her home, and the press immediately declared there was no hate crime, despite the fact the authorities did not even have a suspect at that point.

President Biden commented about the intolerance, the press ran accusatory reports, and a hate rally was staged decrying the Jewish mindset behind the attack.

Now, the full details have emerged because a solitary reporter – Daniel Greenfield – looked into the episode. The students were not targeted but were on the property of the shooter, who was discovered to be a supporter of Hamas. We cynically await the wave of corrections from news outlets…
