1st Amendment Strike Force – VARIOUS MEDIA

  • As they rail against social media posts, authorities clamp down on the mainstream press in Hawaii.

We mentioned last week that Will Cain of Fox News revealed local officials in Maui were keeping the clamps on media access throughout the island, leading to problems getting information out and leading to speculation that cover-ups were taking place to hide government incompetence.

One local reporter, Ashley Probst, an editor for The Maui Times, has a video where she describes the lengths local authorities have gone to keep a lid on information and prevent the media from reporting on the recovery efforts.

Low Octane Gas Lighting – MSNBC

  • Complaining about history while getting current events completely wrong.

Rachel Maddow is at it again with the fraudulent investigations, this time delving into the school subject controversies. For some reason, the press is intent on declaring that if a state or school board denies a new curriculum, then the entire subject is being banned. For instance, in Florida, when the newly introduced AP African American History program was denied over content issues, it was reported that the subject of black history was being removed from schools, rather than a new course guide being denied and the old one being left in place.

Now Maddow joins the lying media masses by saying that, since the state of Arkansas will not give course credit for those taking the AP History course, it means that history elements are being removed from the classroom teachings.

1st Amendment Strike Force – The Marion County Record

The ongoing drama behind the small Kansas newspaper that was raided by local authorities continues to evolve, and the case against the paper is unraveling. In what is becoming a clear targeted attempt to silence a paper, the affidavit behind the warrant leading to the raid has been exposed and it's looking more and more suspicious.

The issue surrounds a local business person seeking a liquor license and the paper having information on that individual regarding a prior DUI, which would invalidate the application.

The raid was said to be over the paper illegally obtaining this information, but is was shown the evidence was obtained by accessing public records. The suspicion that the police chief being investigated by the paper was the actual motive for the raid is made all the more likely, as the warrant for this effort has now been withdrawn and lawyers for the paper are in possession of the confiscated materials.

Also revealed was a security video from the home of the 93-year-old co-founder of the paper when police went to confiscate her computer and other items of interest. Joan Meyer passed away shortly after the incident, with many believing the stress from the authorities arriving and taking items was a contributing factor.

Reporting on the Mirror – MSNBC

Fans of the MSNBC daybreak program “Morning Joe” (we are told that these people do in fact exist) have been concerned for weeks over the marked lack of airtime given to Willie Geist. The longtime co-host has not been seen on the show for most of the month, and speculation is running rampant, especially with no word from the network on his status.

Many fear he was fired, with others guessing he is on an extended vacation, except he has, in fact, appeared on camera on the network’s “Weekend Today Show.” So now the mystery is surrounding if there was some kind of falling out with the show or if a network shift is in play.

But then Geist popped up on social media to announce he was, in fact, returning to both programs. So calm down, you Joe-erks!

Reporting on the Mirror – FOX BUSINESS

  • We mean, maybe if you bet on the result it could be considered an investment, maybe…?

Not to imply that there is not some room for lighter fare, but really, when people are tuning in for investment and market updates to see how much their portfolios are shrinking these days, do they really need to be updated on the fact that Fox News host Will Cain finished ahead of Pete Hegseth in the New York City Navy SEAL swim competition?
