In the latter category, Loomer recently noted that other than Ted Cruz, none of the speakers at the first-ever Republican Midterm Convention mentioned…Islam. She claimed that the speeches were being checked prior to delivery, and she later wrote that several people at the convention confirmed her insight. Speeches were reviewed and apparently references to Islam, Muslims, Sharia, and the like were scrubbed prior to delivery. We have moved forward 25 years, but we have not moved at all: just as George W. Bush whitewashed the Islamic component of the 9/11 attacks, today’s Republicans are skittish about appearing “racist.” I doubt they expect Muslims and their lefty loony friends to vote for them, so it would appear that they don’t want to be considered bigoted in pointing out that there are Muslims who wish to destroy the U.S. either with terror or votes. Loomer has commented several times on the failure of the current Republican nominee for Senate in Michigan, Mike Rogers, to hammer home the Sharia-loving side of his opponent, Abdul El-Sayed.

You can’t fix a problem that you won't admit exists. While the Manhattan Project went from theory to boom relatively quickly, it could have been even faster. The production of Uranium-235 was painstaking, literally one atom at a time. Plutonium was going to come online at much higher amounts, but scientists at Los Alamos discovered a problem. The first bomb dropped on the Japanese was a “gun-type” device: one piece of uranium was fired at another one, making the pair go supercritical and initiating a nuclear explosion. Scientists realized that plutonium would degrade before it reached its target. They had to start over and eventually moved to implosion, a method of crushing a piece of plutonium via regular explosives and thus making the plutonium go supercritical and explode.

Let’s imagine that Robert Oppenheimer was not the affable scientist that he was. Let’s imagine him a dictator. When told of the problem that plutonium would not work in a gun-type system, he could have told his colleagues to be quiet and continue to work on it. The subject is off-limits. You will make gun-type devices for uranium (which worked over Hiroshima) and for plutonium (which would have fizzled out). Instead, he accepted the bad news and initiated an intense project to create “explosive lenses” that had to crush the plutonium with equal pressure on every side. By admitting the problem, he was halfway to its solution.

There is no question that there are good Muslims in the United States. They represent no threat to the Republic, and many of them no doubt are patriots, including some percentage that serve in the United States armed forces. And that is one of our biggest problems. Let’s imagine that all Muslims were foam-in-the-mouth Hamas supporters. The solution would be much easier: eject whomever you can. Arrest whomever you can. And anyone left would be under surveillance until cleared of being a threat to the United States. The fact that there are Muslims not braying for Sharia law does not obviate the need for Republicans to come clean with the voters: people like El-Sayed hold religious-political views that see Sharia law based on the Koran as being superior to, and thus superseding, American common law. For 250 years, the U.S. has had means of creating local, state, and federal laws via elected officials. Sure, there have been shenanigans, and not all laws are so wonderful. But that’s the way things work in the U.S.: get your people elected, pass the laws you want, and live in the country you’ve made. If Sharia were to supplant U.S. law, then the Koran — and not the Constitution — would be the final word on all matters of law and society. Nobody in the U.S. voted for Sharia, certainly not non-Muslim Americans. Do you want all women covered head to toe? Do you want no more booze or dogs in your life?

Jewish law is quite detailed, and a standard house of a religious Jew has hundreds of Torah-related books. Even so, no religious Jew would require that non-Jewish Americans be subject to Torah law. Nobody would demand that all Americans keep the Sabbath against their will. I was quite moved to hear the late Charlie Kirk strongly suggest that Americans turn off their cellphones during the period of the Jewish Sabbath. That was a beautiful suggestion, but again there is not a single Jew in the U.S., rabbi or layman, who says that once he is elected he will require all stores to close on Saturday and that food in all restaurants must be kosher. Such an idea seems ridiculous, but in the formerly Great Britain, a Sikh was arrested for refusing to sell halal food at his establishment.

Americans are amazing people with whom politicians can level. This was a major failing of the “COVID response”: people like Fauci and Collins lacked all modesty in being straight with the American people. They should have said that masks don’t work and that there is no basis for physical separation. They should have been honest about not knowing many things, and they should have told us the truth about the U.S.-Chinese engineering of the virus. But since they were involved in creating the Frankenvirus, they couldn’t come straight with We the People. And the Republicans need to avoid the Fauci mistake. One can point out the threat of Islam in the West, and specifically in the U.S., without coming off as some type of yahoo racist. Americans, unlike what Tucker says, are worried about Islamic terror and Islam’s growing footprint in the United States. When Muslims take over streets when plenty of mosques are available, they are making a statement: it’s yours today, but it will be ours tomorrow. Americans want to hear the straight dope on the Islam-Lefty axis and the real threat to the country if Democrats are elected come this November. This is not some invented issue because it is real. But the Republicans cannot talk about it — except for the indomitable Ted Cruz. Why are the Republicans acting like Democrats and scrubbing references to Islam when it is a clear and present threat to the continued existence of the United States as a constitutional republic? Why is Mike Rogers not saying that his opponent is cool with 9/11? They’ll call him a racist, and he won’t be invited to some parties in Detroit? How ‘bout they call him unemployed in November?

One can make negative claims about Jews and Christians, something that Muslims often do. But neither group suggests that its religious laws should gobble up the current laws of the land and replace them. Many Muslims in Dearborn and Texas are not shy about saying that they will immigrate and reproduce their way to electoral power. The U.S. has no obligation to commit suicide. Right now, Bin Laden is winning if his program was to end the U.S. as a Christian country. The Democrats have joined those who danced when the towers came down, and the Republicans are terrified to state the obvious: there is a real, legitimate Islam problem in the West, because Sharia Islam is not at all compatible with a democratic republic. If you are afraid of your shadow, don’t be surprised when only your shadow remains.
