Tucker Carlson attacks the moral goodness of the U.S. armed forces.

A while back, I heard the story of a British officer who led his men into Germany. Those under his command were looking for revenge, and the officer was concerned as to what might happen once they entered the Fatherland. The fellow decided to use the parenting technique of giving his charges part of what they wanted but not everything. He made a speech to his soldiers: on the rape and pillage scale, you can take anything you want from any house we enter. But you will not harm or attack German citizens. And his soldiers followed his command. They went through each house like it was Marks and Spencer and took what they wanted, but they did not touch a German woman or harm anyone they met. He himself took nothing of the plunder.

Josef Stalin obviously did not attend Eton with the fellow from the story above. He famously told his troops in Germany after the fall of Berlin that for three days there would be a suspension of all rules and laws as applied to soldiers. Two million German women were raped by the members of the Red Army; 240,000 of them died in the aftermath, many by suicide. Factories and entire industries were folded up and put on trains to the East, where they were reconstituted in the Soviet Union. The Russians had suffered horribly at the hands of the Nazi invaders and they saw that it was time for payback, which they gave without threat of fine or punishement.

Tucker Carlson has continued his attacks against Chabad, Israel, and Jews. And the sun rose this morning in the East. Jews have been attacked throughout history, with most claims having no basis in reality. As we approach Passover, we are reminded of the blood libels, the ludicrous claim that Jews used Gentile blood in the baking of matzahs. Pro tip: the addition of even one drop of blood to a huge dough of matzah would render the entire batch “chametz” which is leveaned and thus unfit for consumption on Passover. A big rabbi told the story, one of so many, of local Germans claiming that a boy had disappeared and that the Jews had killed him. The town leaders gave the Jews a deadline to produce the killer before they would burn down the synagogue and kill the locals. A simple tailor came forward and claimed that he did the deed. He was murdered by the town folk with great vengeance; the boy then walked out of the woods and returned home a few hours later.

While baseless claims against Jews are no newer than the rocks on the ground, what irked me about one of Carlson’s recent diatribes was his impugning the morality of the U.S. armed forces. During a rant, he claimed that Donald Trump—who has recently excommunicated Carlson from the MAGA fold—has demanded “unconditional surrender” in Iran which is a code for saying that “foreign troops get to rape your wife and your daughter.” The troops he has in mind: U.S. soldiers, sailors and Marines. Unconditional surrender has nothing to do with mass rape; the Allies and Russians demanded from the Axis unconditional surrender. American troops were never involved in the mass violation of German or Japanese women; the Russians in Germany behaved otherwise, but not because of the demands for complete capitulation. Donald Trump would never send American troops into Iran in order to behave worse that the Basij militias who have terrorized the locals for decades. Trump has been wrongfully accused of rape and has won in court on the falseness of the claim. But let’s say that he did tell Pete Hegseth to do as Carlson claims, who in the U.S. would believe that American forces would behave in such a despicable manner?

U.S. forces, like their Israeli counterparts, are moral to a fault. Sure, soldiers can get drunk and rowdy and at times violate local laws, but the U.S. armed forces are based on a very strict code of conduct. I believe that it is this code that has allowed them to perform so well after only 13 months since being under the lefty DEI Biden administration. It should have taken years to fix the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. But here we see them flying thousands of sorties with great precision and success; we see them downing incoming projectiles and professionally running high-tempo operations around the clock. Tucker Carlson, if he can’t ever apologize to Jews and Chabad, should apologize immediately to the men and women of the U.S. armed forces. Even if they were given such an ugly and illegal order explicitly or under the guise of code words “unconditional surrender,” they would disobey it.

One of the tricks of the Lefty-Islam Complex has been to accuse the IDF and the state of Israel of being guilty of crimes that their terror heroes actually committed. Hamas mass murdered Jews but Israel did a genocide. It was quite posh to claim that IDF soldiers were raping Gazan women without a single shred of evidence to support the proposition. Hamas rapes, the IDF rapes, so we’re all back at square one again. The Palestinians and their stooges in the West showed hideous pictures of children with genetic disorders and claimed that we were witnessing boys and girls denied food by those evil Zionist conquerers. Did you know that when some concerned Israeli citizens blocked roads to prevent aid from reaching Gaza, the Israeli police removed the protesters and made sure that the trucks kept rolling? On two occasions, aid truck drivers from Jordan shot and killed Israelis at the Israeli border. We in the West are not like the Islamic rapists/murderers/children killers. Thank God. They try desperately to claim otherwise, so as to hide their evil moral system. But the truth is not with them. Israeli soldiers did not rape Gazan women, and it’s not because they all look like Rashida Tlaib. Rather, it’s the morally wrong thing to do and if that speed bump was not enough, the IDF lawyers will gladly send a soldier rapist to jail for a long time. Ask the soldier who killed a wounded terrorist in Hebron, while claiming that the prone Palestinian was still a danger. He was found guilty and sent up the river.

Tucker Carlson has stuck to his script, and while I was scribbling the words above, he said that he never attacked Chabad. From claiming that it was Chabad’s desire for a Third Temple that was the driving force behind Israel forcing the U.S. to attack Iran, he now says that any such claim about him saying the same is some lie from the Israeli government. But we have it on tape! Chabad is the reason for the war on Iran, period. No matter. He now says that Chabad did nothing more than hand out some “Third Temple” patches to soldiers going into Gaza. That’s not what he said before, but when a person has no moral standards, every day is something new and one can say and “un-say” whatever he so pleases. Religious life is like what the sheriff in the first Rambo movie said: Our town is boring and we want to keep it that way. Religion expects a moral behavior 24/7, and when we fail, we need to fix our mistakes. When one has no real moral guardrails, he can attack Chabad and the U.S. armed forces and then 48 hours later claim that he never said the very things already recorded for posterity. No one will demand that he explain himself, and he would never bring on a guest who might actually challenge him on his misrepresentations and obfuscations. He should apologize.

Editor's Note: For decades, former presidents have been all talk and no action. Now, Donald Trump is eliminating the threat from Iran once and for all.
