Hollywood Chooses Hamas Over Israel

Over a thousand Hollywood actors, directors, and film industry insiders have pledged to boycott Israel’s film industry — not because of human rights abuses by terrorists, but because Israel is defending itself against them.

The group, operating under the name Film Workers for Palestine, is targeting Israel’s film festivals and production houses, accusing them of “genocide” and “apartheid” — parroting propaganda lines straight from the Hamas playbook.

Signatories to the boycott include well-known actors and filmmakers from the U.S., UK, and Europe — people like Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Ava DuVernay, Riz Ahmed, and Adam McKay — most of whom have no expertise in foreign policy, counterterrorism, or even Middle Eastern history. But they do have platforms, and they’re using them to undermine the only democracy in the region.

The statement from FWFP reads like it was drafted in a faculty lounge — full of buzzwords like “complicity,” “apartheid,” and “whitewashing.” Nowhere is there a mention of Hamas’ slaughter of civilians, use of human shields, or hijacking of humanitarian aid. Their narrative is one-sided, dishonest, and utterly detached from reality.

Actress Hannah Einbinder, one of the signers, claims her conscience is shocked — not by Hamas’ brutality, but by Israel’s response to it. She even blames U.S. taxpayers, conveniently ignoring that American support for Israel exists precisely because Israel faces existential threats from jihadist groups bent on its destruction.

The boycott targets major Israeli cultural institutions, including the Jerusalem Film Festival and the Haifa International Film Festival — events that have historically promoted diversity, dialogue, and artistic freedom. These so-called activists want to dismantle all of that to score cheap political points and feed their own inflated sense of virtue.

This isn’t about peace, and it certainly isn’t about Palestinians. It’s about signaling loyalty to a hard-left ideological agenda that sees Israel as a convenient villain. It’s the same crowd that falls silent when women are oppressed in Iran, Christians are slaughtered in Nigeria, or Uyghurs are enslaved in China — but suddenly finds its moral voice when Israel fights back against terrorism.

By siding with Hamas apologists, these Hollywood figures aren’t standing up for justice — they’re turning their backs on truth, on democracy, and on the values they pretend to champion. In the process, they’re showing the rest of us that for all their wealth and influence, they still can’t tell the difference between a terrorist and the people trying to stop them.
