Kamala Harris’ Stepdaughter Breaks Down Over 'Climate Anxiety' While Americans Face Real-World Crises

Former President Kamala Harris may want to project strength, but when her own stepdaughter reveals she’s “really struggling” with climate anxiety, it raises eyebrows. Imagine being so paralyzed by fears of environmental doom that you're questioning whether to build a family or buy a home.

Ella Emhoff, Harris’s stepdaughter and a vocal climate activist, took to social media to admit she’s been struggling emotionally, citing intense “climate anxiety” as the reason.

"I feel disgust at what's going on in the world around genocides," she began. "Loss of rights, the loss of healthcare just general that everyone has surrounding affordability their lives livelihood, like everything it feels so big."

"I think everything with the environment is really f*cking getting to me," Emhoff continued. "I experience a lot of climate anxiety."

Emhoff's post has sparked criticism from some who argue that while everyday Americans are grappling with real challenges, from rising crime to economic strain, the politically connected are melting down over theoretical projections. Emhoff, who the media have elevated for her fashion and activism, seems to echo the broader agenda of the Biden-Harris administration: more emotional rhetoric, less practical policy.

Critics on the right say this is yet another example of out-of-touch priorities from those in or adjacent to power — spotlighting personal emotional struggles over issues like climate while the real anxieties facing Americans, such as inflation, border security, and public safety, are sidelined.
