The Reactions to the Chappell Roan's Fan Incident in Brazil Have Been Gold

I wouldn’t normally care about this, but the reactions have been incredible. Chappell Roan, who has strict rules for fan interaction, got into trouble in Brazil, leaving a young girl crying. The story is that the singer told her security to be forceful with the young fan, which caused her to cry. Roan performed at Lollapalooza Brazil in Rio de Janeiro, but the city's mayor banned her from performing there at future events over this incident. It’s a fiasco many could ignore, and frankly, you should, but the reactions have been outstanding.

Roan has denied this incident ever occurring; it doesn’t matter. It went viral and now has a life of its own. The incident occurred last Saturday (via Fox News):

Chappell Roan sparked backlash from a Brazilian official Saturday after an alleged awkward fan interaction.

While in town to perform at Lollapalooza Brazil, the "Pink Pony Club" singer allegedly directed security to scold his daughter after she spotted Chappell having breakfast at the hotel in São Paulo, according to professional soccer star Jorginho Frello.

Chappell, 28, addressed the incident on Instagram stories Sunday and later denied the fan encounter after the "very upsetting" situation caught the eye of Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere.

In a statement shared on X, Cavaliere said that Chappell was no longer welcome to perform in his city.

Anyways, everyone got in on the fun:

The Sopranos memes and the someone clipping an old SVU clip of the kid getting shot—outstanding choices.
