If This Is the Dems' Go-to Talking Point Over the Federalization of D.C., Trump Has Already Won

The good news is that if this is going to be one of the Democrats’ go-to talking points, President Trump’s move to federalize the DC police force and deploy the National Guard will go off without much heartburn. There will be media insanity and other laughable overreactions—nothing that this White House communications team can’t turn into mincemeat. They’ve already done a decent job slapping down the predictable nonsense from Monday’s announcement.

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) wasn’t the only one, but he went on television to claim that January 6 was the real emergency, not the rising crime. Those statistics are the definition of unreliable, as some DC police officials, pre-federalization, were busted for cooking the books on the statistics.

Also, the plethora of stories from those who have witnessed or experienced victimization by the homeless and street hooligans is too many—CNN’s Scott Jennings had a body fall right in front of him; a murder occurred right above his Metro stop. It won’t resonate because a) no one cares about January 6, and b) everyone in the city knows better. It’s the privileged elites who seem to be the most outraged.

And if January 6 doesn't work, we know the Democrats will only get more unhinged, and they have.

Everyone is welcoming law and order's return to DC.

Also, leave it to Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) to get concussed by his own boomerang:
