After 22 months and millions of taxpayer dollars, Special Counsel Robert Mueller submitted his report, which cleared President Trump of colluding with the Russians. The president wasn't charged with obstruction. It was a total win for the Trump White House. And the winning didn’t stop there. One billion was allocated for 57-miles of border fencing, the DOJ sided with a district court that struck down Obamacare, anti-Trump lawyer Michael Avenatti was slapped with federal extortion, wire, and bank fraud charges, and a majority are now open to re-electing Trump in 2020. This is winning, folks. Dare I say yesterday was the best news day since we won World War II? Yet, with this investigation over, the real inquires can begin.
We had our favorite guest, Katie Pavlich, on the podcast today, where we discussed Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) intention to look into alleged FISA abuse, which means Sam Powers, Obama, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, Susan Rice, and James Comey should be hauled back onto the Hill for testimony. While that is gathering steam, CNN, Rachel Maddow, Brian Stelter, and Jim Acosta have been eating crow for their Russian collusion peddling.
While this is all blowing up, we have Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) hosting secret fundraisers for groups with terror ties. She also mocked a bunch of Jewish protesters recently, saying, “Who cares about them?” Meanwhile, Nancy Pelosi said “to be anti-Semitic is to be anti-American” at AIPAC. Is this a not so subtle dig at Omar?
Meanwhile, the Israeli elections are two weeks away; Hamas is firing rockets into Tel Aviv that caused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cut his trip to the U.S. short. Back stateside, Jussie Smollett, who feigned a hate crime, had all charges against him dropped, infuriating the Chicago Police Department. So, the lesson of the day is if you’re anti-Trump, you can get away with anything, even hate crimes. “Yes, I know…must be a day that ends in “y.” Guy and Cortney have more on that. We’ll be back on Thursday.
