Words Of Wisdom From Ocasio-Cortez: Abolish The Electoral College To Stop More Conservative Judicial Appointments

Liberals have entered the seventh circle of hell with this defeat on the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. He was confirmed by a 50-48 vote on Saturday. It closed the books on one of the most vicious battles on the Hill in recent memory. The smooth ride to confirmation took a violent and hellacious turn when three sexual misconduct allegations, all lacking witnesses and evidence, but it was weaponzied in an attempt to destroy Kavanaugh, who denied the allegations. It was part of the Democrats’ strategy to run out the clock on this nomination before the midterms and hopefully kill it—placing wagers that their political position would be increased after the midterms.  It was a Hail Mary pass that was broken up. The GOP won. The Democrats lost. And once again, liberals were triggered. The tantrum extended to their favorite topic: abolishing the Electoral College. Yes, for some, it’s resurfaced. One of those people who pushed for this nonsensical policy initiative was far left-winger Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Cortez was responding to GQ Magazine’s Julia Ioffe, who tweeted, “We are a country where two presidents who both lost the popular vote have now placed four justices on the Supreme Court. Democracy in action.”

“It is well past time we eliminate the Electoral College, a shadow of slavery’s power on America today that undermines our nation as a democratic republic,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

We don’t have to relitigate this total trash argument that the Electoral Collegeis a vessel or evil, or something a horrid, though entertaining flashbackto the Left’s 2016 meltdown. Even now, liberals don’t seem to getthat this is how you really elect the president of the United States. The system is fine. Also, it’s arguably the electoral method that paved the way for us to abolish slavery. Listen, Ocasio-Cortez has no idea what she’s talking about. That’s not well established. She doesn’t know how she would payfor her $40 trillion agenda—and she’s clueless about health care; she thinks single-payer would save money because it would be offset by a reduction in funeral costs. Just crack open a beer (here’s to you, Kavanaugh!), watch, and laugh.
