This week, it was revealed that Minnesota Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar was conducting seminars for Somalians who are living illegally in the United States to avoid deportation.

Omar is from Somalia herself.

Elon Musk shared this on X, pointing out that Omar was “outright” breaking the law.

Omar responded, claiming that “Every single person in this country deserves to know their rights. That's legal.”

“Maybe you should brush up on our laws given the fact you're breaking them to steal American's sensitive data,” she added.

She then claimed that the story was “manipulated.”

One Texas Republican called on Omar to be deported for this.

“We should have never let Ilhan Omar into our country,” Rep. Brandon Gill wrote on X. He represents Texas’ 26th Congressional District. He was sworn in last month.

He also wrote, “America would be a better place if [Omar] were deported back to Somalia.”

Omar has attested that she came to the United States as a refugee in 1995. She became a naturalized citizen a few years later.

In a statement to The Hill, a spokesperson for Gill said, “Representative Omar’s conduct raises questions about to whom she is most loyal- the American people or illegal aliens from Somalia. Representative Gill simply stated that it is disgraceful for a sitting Congresswoman and US citizen to facilitate the invasion of our country by illegal alien Somalis.”
