It’s not just Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) disgusted by Democrats’ hypocrisy during questioning of Defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth during his confirmation hearing on Tuesday. NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo was stunned that rather than focusing on topics of vital concern, such as China, Russia, terrorism, or drones, for example, many chose to attack Hegseth over unrelated issues.

Cuomo directed much of his ire at Sen Tim. Kaine (D-VA), who focused on Hegseth’s infidelity.

“Here is the moment that Democrats are choosing to send around the internet as their big win: Senator Tim Kaine giving Hegseth the Bill Clinton.”

“Two points of disgust: How many people on that committee, how many in Congress, could pass the Kaine test that you can’t honor an oath to serve if you’ve ever been unfaithful?” Cuomo asked. “Who cares when we are talking about being the top warrior, not our pastor?”

Cuomo then pointed out Kaine’s hypocrisy for supporting Bill Clinton.

“He didn’t say he couldn’t serve despite all he knew about his peccadilloes. He still backed him. Why? Is president not as important an oath? So, what changed?”
