Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber came out of hiding yesterday to slam the GOP replacement for Obamacare, the American Health Care Act, as a scam.
“Any replace[ment] that they would pass would result in millions of Americans losing health insurance, would result in higher premiums, and would result in a huge redistribution from the poor to the rich," Gruber said on Boston Herald Radio's "Herald Drive" show with John Sapochetti and Rick Shaffer. "Now if they are happy with that and they are willing to do that, I wouldn’t call that a replacement, I would call that a scam.”
His comments are quite rich considering Gruber took advantage of what he called "stupid Americans" to ram through Obamacare, a bill that forced loss of insurance coverage and cut off doctor access for millions of Americans.
As a side note, notice how he admitted Obamacare was written in a "tortured" way to manipulate the bill's CBO score and the American people.
Are there problems with the current Obamacare replacement plan? Absolutely. However, those who literally wrote Obamacare, lied to the American people and implemented the complete destruction of healthcare in America have zero credibility on this issue. Obamacare was a scam and Gruber knew it.
