President Donald Trump sent a message to China via Twitter on Thursday night, previewing a "very difficult" meeting expected next week when the two countries negotiate trade relations at Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

In August of 2016, China boosted their already massive trade advantage on the United States by an extra 11.6 percent. Imports from China increased 9.5 percent and the trade deficit widened to $33.85 billion.
