With her 250th birthday on the horizon, America is geared up to welcome five to seven million fans and tourists from across the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. One fan in particular is organically discovering the wonders of our great homeland, specifically Dixieland. While most tourists travel to the coasts to walk Rodeo Drive or visit Lady Liberty, this German tourist named Freddy is enchanted by the little things — fully stocked supermarkets, simple southern skies, our authentically American fast-food spots and gas stations, and even the sweet sound of American country music.
The best discovery of our road trip has been a musician called Ella Langley. We had never heard of her before, but after hearing her on pretty much every country radio station, we’ve become big fans. She’s basically the soundtrack of our trip. pic.twitter.com/IhQt4Z3vFV

Freddy is America's newest "Ella Fella," a popular term coined for fans of rising country music artist Ella Langley.
We’ve only eaten fast food since arriving in the USA, so we needed something different today. First vitamins of the trip. This on the right cost $15 btw. pic.twitter.com/B8kuN8MW07

The comments are flooded with memes about Freddy's discovery of Walmart. He replied to one fan saying, "It's how we start every day."
Just had our first Waffle House experience at 1am. Great food, great prices, and friendly staff. 10/10, we will be coming back.😋 pic.twitter.com/QHgftpqfoX

This man is doing his trip right. Did you really even come to the U.S. if you didn't have a late-night/early-morning fast-food or diner run?
That's not all, he even discovered Buc-ee's, a classic southern experience for all road-trippers.

Freddy went on to say the camera did not do the sunset justice. He posted several other clips and photos of sunsets and mountain top views in Georgia and Florida.
Freddy also enjoyed an NBA Finals game over a meal and some drinks at Chili's, was wowed by a Coca-Cola remix machine, and ate other fast-food classics like Wendy's and Chipotle.

Beyond his fascination with the small, everyday nature of American life, Freddy was met with some good ol' southern hospitality.
I love Americans. We were about to walk an hour to the stadium in the rain to save on an Uber, and the receptionist at the hotel we were parked in front of decided to drive us there.🙏 pic.twitter.com/ta9crNM0ok

Freddy discovered the heart of our nation, which lives within its hidden parts, where people work hard, live simply, and welcome visitors into American life. As America plans to celebrate its birthday, we must not take for granted all that our nation has to offer, and we should do everything we can to preserve its greatness.
