As the tenuous ceasefire holds in Gaza, Israel could soon have another war on its hands, this time with a resurgent Hezbollah.
The Lebanese terrorist group is reportedly shoring up resources to prepare for another assault on Israel as the peace process in Gaza proceeds.

The Iran-backed Lebanese terrorist movement Hezbollah is rebuilding its military arsenal on Israel’s northern border, as experts warn that another war between the two sides could be on the horizon. The latest developments come a year after the U.S. helped broker a ceasefire between the parties.
On Wednesday, IDF spokesman Nadav Shoshani, said Hezbollah had engaged "in a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement." Shoshani also released a video showing the rearming, claiming the terror group was "operating to reestablish its assets in the village of Beit Lif."
Critics argue that the U.N. peacekeeping force, UNIFIL, is not fulfilling its mandate to disarm the terror group and the Lebanese Armed Forces are moving too slowly, which has led to continued Israeli actions against the terrorists. The IDF has been launching near-daily strikes against the group’s infrastructure and operatives inside Lebanon.
Sarit Zehavi, a leading Israeli security expert on Hezbollah from the Israel Alma Research and Education Center, told Fox News Digital that Hezbollah does not currently "have the capability to carry out an October invasion. They had it prior to Oct. 7, 2023. They can send in a few terrorists. I want to believe it will take a few years to get those capabilities back."
Meanwhile, the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas has become increasingly fragile as both parties have accused the other of violating the accord, according to Reuters. Israeli airstrikes reportedly killed 30 Palestinians in one of the deadliest attacks since the ceasefire deal.

The Israeli government said the airstrikes were a response to Hamas fighters opening fire on Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops, The Times of Israel reported.

The Israel Defense Forces said it launched a wave of airstrikes against Hamas targets across Gaza on Wednesday after terror operatives opened fire on troops earlier in the day in the enclave’s southern Khan Younis area.
The military said that no soldiers were wounded in the attack. The gunfire took place in IDF-held territory, on the eastern side of the Yellow Line that, since the onset of the truce, has split the Gaza Strip between Israeli and Hamas control.
The Israel Defense Forces said the shooting was a violation of the nearly six-week-old ceasefire in the Strip. The clash was the latest incident to test the truce, which has so far held despite several bouts of conflict.
Since the ceasefire deal took effect on October 10, IDF troops have remained in control of slightly more than half of Gaza, with the rest under de-facto Hamas control, as US-backed efforts to disarm the terror group and install a multinational peacekeeping force slowly proceed.
The IDF has said it remains deployed in Gaza “in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.”

Hezbollah has continued to operate along the Israeli-Lebanon border since the ceasefire began. There have been near-daily skirmishes between Israeli forces and the terrorist group, which has refused to demilitarize.
Israel launched a flurry of airstrikes against Hezbollah positions and weapons depots, kliing several terrorists.
