One Single Member of Congress Just Refused to Vote to Condemn...

AP Photo/Jose Luis Magana

If I told you the lone holdout in the entire House of Representatives on the vote in question was Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib, would that be a useful clue?  This is, after all, an anti-Semite who was censured by a bipartisan majority of the chamber over her ugly smears and appalling amplification of terrorist propaganda.  She's also the bigot who repeatedly refused to condemn Hamas' decapitation of infants during the October 7th massacre -- immediately after which she demanded an urgent ceasefire.  Hamas had slaughtered more than 1,200 civilians and kidnapped hundreds more, you see, and the Jewish state was about to defend itself and dismantle the terrorist entity responsible for the carnage.  Tlaib wanted the violence to be paused before the you-know-who's could fight back.  This is who she is.

So it should come as absolutely no surprise that this person couldn't even bring herself to vote for a resolution condemning Hamas' rape and sexual assault of numerous women during the attack:

This cretin justified her lonesome 'present' tally through an amalgam of sick whataboutism, and -- somehow -- something worse:

She claimed she couldn't support the resolution because it ignored Israeli forces' sexual abuse against Palestinians, "especially children."  This is a vile blood libel, baselessly accusing Israel's military of child rape, and using that as an excuse to deflect from well-documented, weaponized mass rape of Jewish women by the terrorists with whom she sympathizes (to be charitable).  She, at best, does not care about any of this.  She will will not denounce it.  One might be forgiven for wondering if she actually supports it on some level, because in order to 'globalize the Intifada' and eliminate Israel "from the River to the Sea," some murdering and raping might need to happen to the you-know-who's (extreme content warning):

At first, she was known simply as “the woman in the black dress.” In a grainy video, you can see her, lying on her back, dress torn, legs spread, vagina exposed. Her face is burned beyond recognition and her right hand covers her eyes. The video was shot in the early hours of Oct. 8 by a woman searching for a missing friend at the site of the rave in southern Israel where, the day before, Hamas terrorists massacred hundreds of young Israelis...Based largely on the video evidence — which was verified by The New York Times — Israeli police officials said they believed that [the victim] was raped, and she has become a symbol of the horrors visited upon Israeli women and girls during the Oct. 7 attacks. Israeli officials say that everywhere Hamas terrorists struck — the rave, the military bases along the Gaza border and the kibbutzim — they brutalized women. A two-month investigation by The Times uncovered painful new details, establishing that the attacks against women were not isolated events but part of a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7. Relying on video footage, photographs, GPS data from mobile phones and interviews with more than 150 people, including witnesses, medical personnel, soldiers and rape counselors, The Times identified at least seven locations where Israeli women and girls appear to have been sexually assaulted or mutilated.

A Palestinian member of the United States Congress declined to vote to condemn this profound evil because doing so would have required her to explicitly reject the actions of Hamas terrorists against Jews.  She won't.  She can't. She instead cooked up a disgusting conspiracy theory about Israeli soldiers raping Palestinian kids as a lunatic excuse. And why wouldn't she be expected to do such things? She eagerly spread terrorist lies about Israel bombing a hospital, when in fact the explosion in question was caused by an errant terrorist rocket. Once this reality became clear, she doubled down anyway. She's a hateful fanatic. And she's so proud of her bigotry that she was willing to stand alone during last evening's vote, on which even her bigoted gal pal Cori Bush apparently felt compelled to vote 'yes.' Bush had previously joined Tlaib in opposing a resolution barring Hamas members and those who committed the October 7th atrocities from entering the United States.  They actually voted against that. One wonders what convinced Bush to leave Tlaib alone on this particularly heinous island, all by herself. Might this have something to do with it?

I'll leave you with this -- without bothering to ask what Tlaib thinks of such vicious hate crimes.  We can all draw our own conclusions based on her ample body of work:
