Here's What Cynthia Nixon Just Called ICE...

Progressives all over the country have a problem with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, it seems. Resisting the agents is a badge of honor. Cynthia Nixon's hatred for ICE reached a new level this week though. The former "Sex and the City" actress, who is mounting a primary challenge against Gov. Andrew Cuomo in the New York gubernatorial election this fall, likened ICE officers to terrorists.

“ICE has strayed so far away from its mission. It is supposed to be here to keep Americans safe but what it has turned into, frankly, is a terrorist organization of its own that is terrorizing people who are coming to this country,” she said at a church on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

She also called for ICE to be abolished during an appearance on "The View." The suggestion got some applause.

Other prominent New Yorkers like Mayor Bill de Blasio told ICE last year that city schools would not be cooperating with them. The agents, he said, will be kept outside the school buildings and schools will not share information with them unless required by the law.

“They can’t blow by our security,” De Blasio added. “They have to follow our rules.”

“ICE agents will not be wandering the halls of a school,” he said.

In California, Oakland Mayor Libby Schiff warned illegal immigrants in her community that ICE agents were planning a raid in the next 24 hours, giving them plenty of time to flee. With their sanctuary city policies, liberal officials like these are keeping ICE at bay, accusing Washington of stoking fear and hate.

Maybe these agents are just trying to do their job?
