The Polk County Sheriff's Office in Florida announced the arrests of 13 individuals following a month-long investigation into child pornography.

In an operation dubbed, "Operation Guardian of the Innocence VI," undercover detectives with the Sheriff's Office's Computer Crimes Unit knabbed 13 individuals in the community for charges related to the possession and sharing of child pornography. Combined, the 13 men face a total of 2,353 charges, including 2,347 felony charges and six misdemeanors.

"We are committed to protecting our children from those who possess and distribute child pornography," said Sheriff Grady Judd. "The men arrested in this operation create a market for these kinds of horrific images that are dependent upon the continued sexual abuse and rape of babies and children worldwide. Each time these images and videos are uploaded and shared these children are victimized again and again. I appreciate the hard work our detectives did that was necessary to file these charges."

Among the individuals arrested are those holding jobs as a little league coach, a high school soccer coach, and a lifeguard.
