Cue The Outrage Mob: AOC Is Upset With America's Response To 9/11 Because...

Democratic socialist Darling Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) participated in a town hall about her "Green New Deal" with MSNBC's Chris Hayes. Naturally, the issue of hurricanes and natural disasters was brought up. And Ocasio-Cortez's response was nothing shy of amazing.

"On the events of September 11th 2001 thousands of Americans died in one of the worst, the largest attack on U.S. soil and our national response, whether we agree with it or not, our national response was to go to war in one, and eventually two countries," AOC explained. "3,000 Americans died in Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Where is our response?"

Apparently AOC wasn't made aware about FEMA relief efforts. Hundreds of pallets of bottled water were delivered to Puerto Rico but sat on a runway for almost a year.  The Trump administration made efforts to provide relief but had issues because of Puerto Rico's physical location and failed infrastructure. 

Regardless of how the White House responded, it's disgusting that Ocasio-Cortez would try to compare the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11th to that of Hurricane Maria. 

Let's compare the two.

September 11th was a terrorist attack. Hurricane Maria was a natural disaster.

September 11th was the result of sick individuals who wanted to cause harm on Americans. Hurricane Maria was an act of God, not the result of a radical religion or political position.

September 11th was designed to take down the American government and cause our nation to collapse. Hurricane Maria was a natural phenomenon.

Where's the response, you ask, AOC? Here's your response:

Learn the difference between a natural disaster, act of God, or whatever else you'd like to call it and a terrorist attack. Both are tragic because people lost their lives and devastation took place but don't you dare try and twist what occurred on September 11th into a result of something America did or didn't do. You may not like the wars that came as a result but there are absolutely no parallels to be drawn here. If you take issue with the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, then fine. But don't try to hide it as part of your climate change "Green New Deal" package.
