When you're a parent, the safety and well-being of your children is paramount. Speaking personally, I know I would lay down my life for my boys or make whoever is threatening them lay down theirs. That's why so many parents, especially parents of girls, are fighting to protect their daughters' sports, bathrooms, and locker rooms from an incursion of boys who believe they're girls.
In fact, in March of last year, I wrote about how school officials in a Deerfield, Illinois middle school—a middle school—forced girls to change in front of a boy who identified as one of them. Similar things happened in Texas and Wisconsin. In Virginia, convicted sex offender Richard Cox, who had children's swim lesson schedules on his phone, used his trans identity to invade female locker rooms in Virginia, where he exposed his male genitalia to women and girls. In Illinois, an Obama-appointed judge dismissed a Title IX lawsuit filed by a girl and her father over a boy in girls' facilities.
It's not just an invasion of privacy, although that's bad enough. Payton McNabb was a 17-year-old volleyball player when a male competitor, posing as a girl, spiked a ball into her face. That boy laughed (as did a leftist journo), apparently finding it funny that McNabb suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI), partial paralysis, and other life-altering injuries from the encounter. McNabb's mother vowed to fight the Democrats who forced this nonsense onto her daughter. McNabb was later expelled from her sorority for objecting to a man in the women's bathroom.
Gee, I can't imagine why she'd be wary of that.
More recently, a female wrestler in Washington state was sexually assaulted by a boy competitor during a match, in front of parents, school officials, and referees. That boy inserted his fingers into the girl's privates through her clothing, and that girl's mother recorded the assault on her phone. It's disgusting and should result in criminal charges. If it were any other boy, it would have. But it seems saying "I identify as a girl" is a get-out-of-jail-free card.
Despite these very real examples of harm done to girls, the trans activist crowd does not seem to care about the harm done to girls. Then again, it should not be a surprise that these people don't care about anyone or anything. Look at what they do to the kids they claim to support. As I wrote about in the past, Jonni Skinner was a feminine gay boy and was told by so-called healthcare professionals that he was born with a "girl brain" in a boy body. They pushed Skinner to transition and dumped him when he started experiencing complications and questioning his treatment. Now, Skinner says his body has been permanently harmed by what he went through
When Skinner's mother tried to ask questions, those same healthcare "professionals" basically told her that Skinner would commit suicide or they'd strip her of custody if she didn't keep her mouth shut and go along with everything. Skinner's mother was not alone. The trans activists routinely tell parents that their child will commit suicide if those parents don't "affirm" their gender transition.
The reality, however, is that suicidality increases exponentially after transitioning. That's understandable, because the wrong-sex hormones and body mutilation are often painful, psychologically damaging, and lead to sexual dysfunction, incontinence, and other issues.
But the fearmongering is the point, and the trans activist crowd is good at that. Because they're doing it again, this time telling parents their daughters will have to have genital exams to play sports.
That's a lie, of course. Gender is innate in our DNA and a cheek swab can suffice. In fact, the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) announced today that players would have to submit a cheek swab, blood, or saliva test to prove their biological gender before being allowed to compete.

But I think it's a glimpse into the mind of leftists that they have to pretend genital exams are required to play sports. They're the ones obsessed with genitals and, bluntly, the right of mentally ill men to expose their genitals to women and girls. Not only can a painless cheek swab address the issue, but most of us have these things called eyes. We can tell when someone is actually a man, even if they say they're a woman. Genital exams are not necessary.
Parents who want to protect their daughters from boys in their sports and safe spaces should not fall for these lies. Their daughters are not at risk from the Save Girls' Sports Initiative. They're at risk for injury from boys playing against them, they're at risk for being sexually assaulted, and they're at risk for being abused by creeps like Richard Cox. The time for polite silence is over. Every time we allow ideology to override biology, another girl pays the price. As the WTA proves, this isn’t complicated, and it will never require invasive exams or surrendered rights.
What it does require, however, is the courage to say what our eyes already see and what science has always confirmed. Stand up, speak out, and vote as though the lives and futures of your children depend on it, because they do. Protect your daughters and don't give in to the fearmongers.
