The Left Will Never Stop Lying About Anti-Abortion Laws

The Left loves abortion. They don't simply see it as a right, they see it as a moral good and an imperative to women's bodily autonomy and freedom. That is not the truth, of course. Abortion is the wholesale abuse of women and children, and the repercussions show themselves throughout our culture. It's why MAiD and similar assisted suicide programs are taking hold in places like Canada and American blue states.

And the Left knows this. That's why they have to lie, lie, lie about abortion laws. And they're doing it again with Texas, falsely claiming that anti-abortion laws have led to a 56 percent increase in pregnancy-related deaths in the state.

There are many problems with this. First and foremost, there's no pregnancy-related condition for which abortion is a cure. Ectopic pregnancies are not viable pregnancies, and the procedure to remove an ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion. For conditions like preeclampsia or eclampsia, which happen primarily in the third trimester, the treatment is the delivery of the baby. This is a lie that the Left sells women, part of their fear-mongering campaign that falsely tells women that anti-abortion laws will prohibit them from seeking treatment of any kind for these conditions.

Also, the authors of this study willfully manipulated the data to skew Texas' numbers. For Texas, they used pre-COVID 2019 data but used COVID-era data as a baseline for other states.

"If they acknowledge that COVID impacts death rates, why do you think they used a pre-COVID year to baseline Texas to prove the bad, while selecting a COVID era year to baseline the other states to prove the good? Did they clearly outline how they cooked the books, and no one seems to care?" Dempsey wrote.

No, they do not care. They cooked the books on purpose to smear Texas' anti-abortion laws. It's that simple.

If not for X users, would we ever know this? It's doubtful. The Left doesn't care about honesty or facts when reporting about anti-abortion laws. I've written about it a countless number of times. They blamed the death of Georgia mother Amber Nicole Thurman on the state's anti-abortion laws, despite the fact that Thurman was able to travel to another state and — thanks to the Biden administration's removing guardrails around the abortion pill — obtain Mifepristone to terminate her pregnancy. The abortion clinic that gave Thurman the pills didn't provide any follow-up care or oversight, and Thurman went septic because she retained the remains of her unborn twins. She died not because of Georgia's anti-abortion laws, but because of the Left's lax abortion laws.

They also lied about Adriana Smith, a 30-year-old woman also from Georgia. Smith suffered blood clots in her brain and was declared brain dead a year ago. She was pregnant at the time and kept on life support to give her unborn child a chance at life. The Left blamed Georgia's anti-abortion laws for this, completely ignoring the fact that GA Code § 31-32-9, passed long before any anti-abortion legislation, prevents doctors from removing pregnant women from life support unless the fetus isn't viable or the mother signed advanced directives outlining her wishes. Smith's pregnancy was viable, and she had no advance directives. In June of last year, Smith's son, Chance, was born. The Left literally hoped he would die to prove their ghoulish point, despite the fact that Smith's family wanted her son to — as his name indicates — have a chance at life. On March 3 of this year, Live Action reported that Chance was living at home with his father and older brother.

Imagine how disappointed the pro-abortion crowd has to be to hear that wonderful news. Then again, when you're for the wholesale slaughter of unborn children, wishing death on a premature infant is the next logical step.

Abortion kills children, and it does irreparable harm to women. And that's why the Left has to lie about anti-abortion laws. The reality would destroy abortion for good in this country, and that terrifies them.
