You can't fight the big tyrannies if you don't fight and beat the small ones, after all. It's something the Left knows, because they put time and money into small, local races like city councils and school boards. They understand that it gives them tremendous power where it matters most: in our own backyards.

Los Angelinos have an opportunity to throw off the tyrannical shackles of Democratic control and elect someone who has lived and suffered under the same failed Leftist policies that saw their city overrun with crime, homelessness, and natural disasters. It's exactly the kind of politics I have long called for, with people getting involved in the brutal bloodsport that is local elections in order to spur change at the ground level.

Spencer Pratt bodied both Karen Bass and Nithya Raman in the last debate that both of them have bailed on the next one. Please, Leftists, tell me about our need for strong girl-bosses in politics when they can't handle some blunt criticism or defend their positions.

Here's more:

A Los Angeles mayoral debate has collapsed at the last minute after Nithya Raman joined Karen Bass and Spencer Pratt in pulling out.

Organizers at the Pat Brown Institute said on Monday the event scheduled for Wednesday was being shelved due to the three major candidates being unavailable.

Raman revealed early Monday she was not going, following Bass pulling out last week and Pratt earlier saying he had a scheduling conflict. It left just businessman Adam Miller and activist Rae Huang.

A spokesman for the Pat Brown Institute and the League of Women Voters said: “With only two candidates remaining, the event partners have agreed not to proceed.”

Raman’s campaign told The Post: “We’re disappointed that Mayor Bass cancelled her participation in the debate. We welcome opportunities for debates with all the candidates in the future.”

In any debate, the Republican or non-woke Democrat is not only debating his opponents, but he's also debating the moderators who are painfully biased in favor of anyone with a (D) after his or her name.

When voters are given a chance to elect someone different, they may actually take it. In New York, as awful as he is, Zohran Mamdani was an alternative to corrupt Andrew Cuomo, who killed thousands of seniors during COVID and lied about it, and was accused of sexual harassment by staffers. The same can be said about Eric Adams, who was unimpressive as Mayor, and Curtis Sliwa — despite his good work in the city — is just not the candidate. New Yorkers will learn the hard way that electing a commie is a mistake.

Not so with Pratt, who doesn't have the baggage of a Cuomo or an Adams, and has the unfortunate clout that comes with Karen Bass allowing your house to burn down thanks to her incompetence. Los Angeles residents finally have a candidate who is one of them, and Pratt should use that opportunity to speak to those voters unobstructed by Bass, Raman, and the moderators.

Pratt needs to show up and speak directly to the voters while his opponents run and hide.
