If the U.N. Hates You, You're Doing Everything Right

In an ideal world, one of the things I'd like to see President Trump do before he leaves office is to remove the United States from the United Nations, evict the U.N. from Manhattan, and turn those buildings into housing for our veterans. The U.N., much like the Mos Eisley Cantina, is a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

That means it's a pretty good rule of thumb that if the U.N. opposes what you're doing, you're on the right track, which is why I laughed when I saw this story from Axios. See, the U.N. thinks President Trump has engaged in "racist hate speech" that has led to "human rights violations."

Here's more:

A United Nations watchdog on Wednesday criticized "intensified immigration crackdowns" in the U.S. and accused President Trump and other American leaders of using "racist hate speech" — both of which it said had "sparked grave human rights violations."

Why it matters: The UN Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination's report marks an unprecedented singling out of a U.S. leader by a United Nations body — and it prompted the White House to accuse the global intergovernmental organization of "extreme bias" in response.

Driving the news: "Racist hate speech by political leaders, including the President, combined with intensified immigration crackdowns in the United States, notably near schools, hospitals and faith-based institutions, has sparked grave human rights violations," said CERD in a statement accompanying the report.

I could write a book about how corrupt and hypocritical the U.N. is, of course, but I'll limit myself to a few choice examples.

We'll start with this, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) was embedded with and providing aid to Hamas on and after October 7, 2023. This includes holding Israeli hostages at UNRAW facilities, employing dozens of terrorists as UNRWA teachers, converting a clinic into a weapons storage facility, and employing Mohamed Abu Itiwi, the Hamas Nukba commander who killed 16 at the Reim shelter. Itiwi was later killed by Israeli forces.

The U.N. gives some of the world's most egregious human rights abusers on its Human Rights Council, including Russia, China, and Cuba.

Speaking of China, the communist nation just approved a measure that would force minorities to learn Mandarin in the name of "ethnic unity."

Somehow, we don't think the U.N. will condemn this.

In 2024 alone, the U.N. faced more than 100 allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse at the hands of Peacekeepers. UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and other agencies also faced sexual misconduct scandals. In 2005, the Oil-for-Food Program was revealed to be corrupt and gave billions in illegal revenue to Saddam Hussein's regime through kickbacks. In 2010, Peacekeepers from Nepal were the source of a cholera outbreak in Haiti that kill more than 10,000 people.

Meanwhile, the duly elected President of the United States, enforcing laws that were passed and signed by duly elected Congresses and past Presidents, is the "human rights violation?"

Whatever you say.

And, as we all know, accusations of "racism" ring hollow these days, because "racism" is a catch-all phrase for "anything Leftists don't like."

I note the U.N. isn't saying a word about the alarming number of White Canadians who are being euthanized under the nation's MAiD program, they don't criticize the abuses of British women and children at the hands of Muslim migrants, and they haven't met a dictator they didn't love.

We have a word for that: hypocrisy. And the U.N. is rich with it.
