Jacob Frey Cannot Get His Way

It's no secret I'm no fan of Democrats. For years, I have opposed that party with every fiber of my being, largely because they're everything they accuse conservatives of being: racist, bigoted, sexist, and violent.

It's that violence part I want to focus on the most right now, given that a bunch of Democratic Party foot soldiers are currently running roughshod over Minneapolis, and Mayor Jacob Frey has no intention of stopping them unless ICE leaves his city

Yes, like a petulant toddler, the temper tantrums will continue until Frey gets his way.

That's some prediction Frey is making, isn't it? "I'll call off my violent mobs once the people we don't like leave our city."

That's like me saying, "I will make this prediction: I will drink a glass of wine" as I uncork the bottle.

That's not how this works, Mr. Mayor. You and your so-called "values" do not get to dictate federal law or immigration enforcement. As I pointed out the other day, the nation as a whole rejected those values when they elected Donald Trump in 2024.

Not two months ago, it was Frey who was saying ICE agents would be killed if they came to his city. That wasn't a warning; it was a wish. He almost got that wish twice in the last week: once when Renee Good hit an agent with her car and again when illegals from Venezuela used a shovel to beat an ICE agent who was apprehending their also-illegal buddy.

After Good was shot and killed, because she believed Frey and Walz when they claimed ICE is the "Gestapo," Frey told ICE to "get the f*** out of my city."

If Frey wanted peace in Minneapolis and Minnesota, he could do what the red cities and states do: cooperate with ICE. When violent criminals are arrested, honor the ICE detainers and let the feds deport these criminals. And they are dangerous criminals. In Minnesota alone, authorities have apprehended some of the most reprehensible people:

This includes Chong Vue, a Laotian illegal alien convicted of the strong-arm rape of a 12-year-old girl and kidnapping a child with intent to sexually assault her, with a deportation order since 2004; Hernan Cortes-Valencia, Mexican illegal alien convicted of sexual assault of a child and DUI with a deportation order since 2016; Gabriel Figueroa Gama, a Mexican illegal convicted of homicide who has been previously deported in 2002; and Abdirashid Mohamed Ahmed, a Somalian illegal alien convicted of manslaughter with a deportation order since 2022.

Let ICE take these scumbags from the prisons, assuming the prosecutors and police in Minnesota bother to arrest and charge them, and you wouldn't have this problem. As I said elsewhere, the irony of the Democrats refusing to cooperate with ICE detainers only to have ICE round up every illegal immigrant they encounter on the street is not lost on me.

But for Frey to lecture anyone about safety and order is the height of audacity. Especially when murderers, rapists, and drunk drivers are roaming free in his city and his state.

So spare me the indignation, Mr. Mayor.

And send more ICE agents to Minneapolis.
