I remember when my eldest was younger, around six or seven years old. He would sometimes say, "Mom, what if I was a girl?" My response was as loving as it was simple: "You're a boy, and I love you just as you are."
Thankfully, this happened before the insanity of the trans movement, or I might have had a much more brutal fight on my hands. But I think back to those conversations on days like today. Earlier, I wrote about Sarah Stalker, the self-loathing Kentucky Democrat who wants your children to hate their skin color.
But only if they're white.
What sort of demented thinking does one have to have to say that she not only hates herself for her skin color — a trait she has no control over — but to say children should feel equally as bad for the way they were born?
As someone pointed out, Stalker may be simply pandering for votes. That's probably true, at least in part. After all, I notice Stalker didn't give up her political office, her income, her day job (if she has one), or any of her other privileges to a person of color.
But she's seeking to inflict psychological harm on children by telling them they were born in the wrong bodies. That their skin color — something the cannot change — is inherently evil. Because they cannot change it, it means they are always stained with the "sin" of "white privilege." Of course, AWFLs like Stalker believe "salvation" comes through practicing "anti-racism," which is a fancy way of being racist but in politically correct ways.

That is unforgivable.
And it's not just skin color.
As I mentioned above, my son once expressed curiosity about being a girl. It's probably a thought most children have at some point, and a perfectly normal one at that. Imagine if some woke teacher or doctor had overheard him saying that, though. They would go on to tell him he was born in the "wrong body" and that he's really a girl who was unfortunately "assigned" to be a boy at birth. Back in November, I wrote about Jonni Skinner, the gay man who was given "gender-affirming care" after medical professionals and others told him he was "born in the wrong body." Doctors warned his mother, Jonni, would commit suicide if she didn't let him become a girl, and when mom pushed back or asked questions, they excluded her from the process and threatened to take Jonni away. After suffering the ill effects of that "affirming" treatment, Jonni's doctors abandoned him.
Jonni is just one of far too many kids who have been irreversibly harmed by Democrats who believe they were born in the wrong body. The reckoning that's coming when a generation of sexually dysfunctional, sick, and medically dependent "trans kids" realizes what's been taken from them (their fertility, their bodily integrity, the ability to form intimate sexual relationships, and experience sexual climax) is going to be ugly. And deserved.

But it's not just that. Democrats have spent decades telling women that children are a social and economic burden, commodities that should be aborted for the sake of their career or their ability to travel "unburdened" by motherhood. Failed Congressional candidate Aftyn Behn said children are part of a "patriarchal structure" that threatens women's power and political careers.
During COVID, children were treated as an afterthought, where adults shut down schools, slapped masks on their faces, and told them all those milestones — prom, graduation, sports — didn't matter. If you complained, you were a "grandma killer." Now that the damage lockdowns and school closures did to kids is evident, Democrats are simply shrugging their shoulders and saying, "How were we supposed to know?"
Of course, those children are great political pawns when there's a mass shooting, and Democrats can drag them in front of the cameras and demand the usurpation of our Second Amendment rights because it'll "save one life." Those same Democrats refuse to improve school security, put violent criminals (including those who commit gun crimes) behind bars, and fail to tone down the rhetoric that has inspired so many acts of mass violence.
Children are great. It's a pity Democrats despise them so.
