New York Times and CNN Contributor Belittles AOC Down To Her Skin Color

Once again, we see the world boils down to nothing but an individual's race and biological sex for a leftist. This time, CNN contributor and New York Times op-ed writer Wajahat Ali reminded America that for progressives, human beings are defined solely by their physical traits rather than their character.  For some reason, Ali thinks the only reason that conservatives criticize Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is because she is a woman of color.

On Tuesday, July 2, Wali pondered, "If the right is so triggered by @aoc imagine what will happen to them if a woman of color becomes President or Vice President?"

Conservatives, of course, were quick to respond. Grabien's Tom Elliot replied, "Sad that when you look at AOC all you see is her race, overlooking her achievements in modernizing Marxism."

Breitbart's Amanda House said, "All you see is her race. Wow."

Many in the replies threw out the idea that former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, both women of color and on the right, could legitimately be elected as either President or Vice President in the future.

Obviously, AOC is criticized for being a socialist, anti-capitalist, and wanting to grow the scope and size of the federal government. These are all things that conservatives oppose.  None of these things have anything to do with her race. Sen. Bernie Sanders, an old white man, is rightfully criticized just as much as the freshman congresswoman. If it was about skin color or gender, Sen. Sanders would get a pass.

Of course, one could argue that based on Ali's follow-up tweet saying, "If this tweet can trigger them then...," then he was probably only saying his original statement to "trigger" conservatives by accusing them of bigotry. Nonetheless, for all the claims against the right of being simpleminded and ignorant thinkers, belittling a woman down to her race and biological sex is about as unenlightened as it gets.
