I love Joy Reid. Whenever I need a break from the monotonous reporting of corrupt Democrats rigging elections for Hillary Clinton, I take a little peek over at the host of MSNBC's AM Joy’s Twitter page.
In part because she seems like a genuinely nice person, albeit moronic. But also because the left-leaning host is typically spouting off some ignorant statement with a child-like curiosity to her #reiders- the self-appointed term she designated for her fans and followers. I enjoy reading what the left is thinking or rather feeling, as most of the time it appears no critical thinking is occurring at all.
A few weeks ago she wondered why we stand for the anthem, yet kneel in church. Then she expressed with, and I quote, “wow wow wow” excitement over her co-worker and fellow MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell’s racist epithets aimed at Irish Catholics such as White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly.
Today, the vivacious MSNBC host is getting lambasted for her definition of “classical liberal.”
“Classical liberal” is an accurate term for a person who supports New Deal economics and social modernity but does not identify as socialist https://t.co/2a6tGqkljh— Joy Reid (@JoyAnnReid) November 5, 2017
This is essentially the polar opposite of what classical liberal means. Conservatives and Libertarians on Twitter were quick to let her know.
No. Not at all the actual definition of “classical liberal.” ?? https://t.co/meBR29g4WL— Dana Loesch (@DLoesch) November 5, 2017
How is it even possible that someone who hosts a politics show doesn't understand the meaning of the term "classical liberal"? https://t.co/rrfA8eGLtW— Jeff B back in black (@EsotericCD) November 5, 2017
A classical liberal is actually what we today call free market conservatives. That’s kinda Political Philosophy 101. https://t.co/q7GwKkukA8— Erick Erickson (@EWErickson) November 5, 2017
This isn't the definition of a classical liberal at all. They're more like libertarians. Not socialists.— DC McAllister (@McAllisterDen) November 5, 2017
Find me a single person in the country who would identify as both a "classical liberal” and a supporter of “New Deal economics." https://t.co/Oamb8Muwor— Josh Hammer (@josh_hammer) November 5, 2017
No, it's not, at all. "Classical liberal" is an accurate term for a free-market libertarian who worships John Locke and Adam Smith. https://t.co/QzX5NAfGe7— James Surowiecki (@JamesSurowiecki) November 5, 2017
Ppl who use "classical liberal" w/o knowing what it means https://t.co/h1B4t7WYVu— Derek Draplin (@ddraplin) November 5, 2017
Never change Joy Reid. I'll hand it off to the late-great economist Milton Friedman to truly explain to Joy what it means.
