Kellyanne's 'Queen of Abortion' Title for Hillary Clinton Is Not That Different From an Actual Award She Won

White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway told "Fox & Friends" Sunday that the Democrats are not discussing abortion in the midterm elections because that strategy “backfired” for them in 2016 with the “queen of abortion,” in reference to Hillary Clinton.

While Conway’s new moniker for Hillary Clinton may be viewed as extreme by some, the twice-failed presidential candidate literally was named “Champion of the Century” in an award from the nation’s largest abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, in 2017.

The mutual admiration between the abortion giant and Clinton over the 2016 election cycle included the organization’s first endorsement of a presidential candidate and Clinton promising on the campaign trail, "I will always defend Planned Parenthood and I will say consistently and proudly, Planned Parenthood should be funded, supported and protected, not undermined, misrepresented and demonized. As your president, I will always have your back."

Planned Parenthood performed 321,384 abortions just over this past year, according to their latest annual report.

Clinton notably defended late-term abortions on the campaign trail in 2016. She also faced criticism from both sides of the aisle for saying that the “unborn person doesn’t have constitutional rights.”

Chelsea Clinton responded to Conway’s comment on Twitter Sunday by saying that there's no "monarchy" in the U.S. and her mother “has always supported women making the reproductive health choices they decide are best for themselves & their families. That’s what pro-choice means.”

Chelsea has been criticized for her own extreme-sounding abortion remarks. In September she argued that it was “unchristian” to ban abortion. She also faced criticism for remarks linking the legalization of abortion in the U.S. to economic improvement.
