Remember when Democrats would tell you that “no one celebrates abortion” or the “safe, legal, and rare” phrase coined by Bill Clinton? Well, they aren’t pretending about their love for the death of innocent children anymore.

Massachusetts just signed into law abortion up until the moment of birth. Numerous Democrats stood behind Governor Maura Healey with smiles plastered on their faces and gave a thunderous applause while it happened.

Nearly the entirety of Democrats in the Massachusetts House voted to make the killing of unborn children up until birth law back in July. Abortion had already been legal through 24 weeks (more than half the length of a typical pregnancy) at that time. Apparently that wasn’t enough for them. Abortion for full term pregnancies was apparently a legislative priority.

And why wouldn’t it be? Progressivism is essentially a death cult. Look at the response to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Look at the euthanasia programs of Spain and Canada. Just last month, a grandmother was murdered by the Canadian government despite her and her family’s insistence that she not be euthanized. They did it anyway. A Catholic priest who only suffered a broken hip was reportedly offered euthanasia twice.

The obsession of progressives with death is their most disgusting quality. It’s a direct result of their nihilistic worldview.

“Why bring a child into this world when there’s so much suffering?” asks the progressive, livid that you’d share in the joy of raising a family. “Shout your abortion” encourages the progressive, hopeful that you’ll dedicate your life to worldly work and pursuits.

And the selfish ideology is captivating to many. Why should my life be spent caring for others? Why should I have responsibility to anyone other than myself?

It’s only a few steps removed from the socialist perspective that begs that others actually care for them at the behest of the state, so it’s pretty clear why there’s such an overlap.

Massachusetts is only the beginning. With the rise of the Democratic Socialists in the Democrat Party, euthanasia and nationwide full-term abortions are going to be on the ballot in 2028.
