Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) savaged people on the left spreading false narratives about President Donald Trump’s executive assistant, Natalie Harp.
During a brief exchange with a TMZ reporter at Sunday’s Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, D.C., Moreno was asked about Sen. Jon Ossoff’s (D-GA) comments about Harp during a speech.
“Yeah, I mean, that's super misogynistic,” Moreno said. “I mean, the reality is she's a very talented person. She's very smart at what she does. She helps the president make sure he's communicating. And the fact that if it was a guy, nobody would say it.”
Sen. Moreno criticized “the implications are that there's something going on because she's a woman.”
He added, “She's also obviously a very kind person. She went through bone cancer in her 20s. I mean, look, at the end of the day, I've always said, let's just keep the personal issues out. Yeah, let's have the arguments around policy.”
The reporter brought up letters Harp sent to Trump in which she expressed her devotion to him. The Daily Beast originally reported on the content of the letters.
“I didn't read it, to be honest,” Moreno said. “I don't know if it's real or not real. But again, look, when you have— we have a scenario where you work with somebody like that, you do develop a personal bond with somebody, but doesn't mean it's anything other than a personal bond.”

Harp has been under scrutiny ever since the letters were published and Ossoff made salacious insinuations about her relationship with Trump.
Harp is affectionately referred to as the “human printer” in the White House and is often seen at Trump’s side on Air Force One flights and high-level meetings to provide news clippings and comments for the president on demand.
She campaigned for him in 2024 after she credited Trump for saving her life by signing the Right to Try Act, which gave her access to medical treatments that cured her of cancer.
Following the campaign, Harp transitioned from a television host on One America News Network to a key West Wing aide and executive assistant to the president.
Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) recently said Trump “doesn’t want to do the job” of president and would rather focus on the White House ballroom project and “travel with Natalie on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the Emir of Qatar.” Ossoff made the comments during a campaign rally two weeks ago, referring to the newer Air Force One jet, causing pushback from the White House.
The left’s narrative about Harp stems from what she wrote in her letters to Trump in which she wrote, “You are all that matters to me. I don’t want to ever let you down” and “Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life.”
