President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order recommending that the childhood vaccine schedule be conducted in more spread out visits, and narrowing the number of recommended shots.

“For far too long, America has recommended more childhood vaccines than any peer nation, and even twice as many doses as some European countries. In many cases, we were requiring 72 jabs for our beautiful, healthy, lovely, delicate little children,” Trump said in an Oval Office signing ceremony on Monday afternoon.

“Effective immediately, my administration's recognizing Gold Standard childhood vaccine recommendations for only 11 core vaccinations against the most serious and dangerous diseases, along with the MMR. We want it in three separate vaccinations, given at separate times,” he added.

Dr. Heidi Overton, Deputy Director, White House Domestic Policy Council, said that it encourages a prior federal government assessment to be implemented at the state level.

“These are the Gold Standard childhood vaccine recommendations, and you should put this into your state law so that when parents go to enroll their kids in school, they do not have to meet some of the requirements for the vaccines that are no longer recommended for all children,” Overton said.

Specifically, the order also stresses that parents should have a strong say in what vaccines their children take, stating that it should be “consistent with the Federal Government’s constitutional and statutory obligations and the fundamental principles of personal autonomy and informed consent.”

The order gained some vocal opposition, as Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) argued that the latest action is hazardous.

"Once again, Donald Trump and RFK Jr. are screwing around with the childhood vaccine schedule — ignoring decades of science, sowing chaos and confusion, and spreading dangerous misinformation that put kids and families at risk," Shapiro posted to X.

"We've already taken RFK Jr. to court to protect Pennsylvanians' freedom to make the best health care decisions for themselves and their kids. And my Administration will continue to give Pennsylvanians clear public health guidance based on science and facts.Because here in Pennsylvania, we trust experts, doctors, and parents to make the best decisions for our families — not conspiracy theorists," the Democrat continued.
