Just last week, I told you how actor Javier Bardem is circulating a petition to get singer Pink removed from her role as a UNICEF ambassador, citing Pink's condemnation of Macklemore and his antisemitic, pro-Palestine speech before an Ed Sheeran concert. Pink is Jewish, and I would presume her children are, too, at least culturally. As a mother, I understand completely why Pink would speak out against such rank hatred; I'm not Jewish, and I have long defended Israel and the Jews against the likes of guys Macklemore.
I will also bet each of you a cup of coffee that Bardem and the rest of his anti-Israel, pro-Palestine cadre of actors won't say a word about what's happening in Iran right now, where a married couple who are actors face a criminal probe for daring to embrace one another on stage during a performance.
Yes, you read that right. The Islamic nation is criminalizing acting in the name of Islamic morality.

Iranian prosecutors opened a criminal case against a theater company after a spectator’s cellphone captured an actress resting her head against an actor’s chest on stage — behavior authorities called a violation of “social norms.”
The play, a drama titled “Tehran Paris Tehran,” tells the story of a young girl named Sara who travels from Tehran to Paris, and then back, to get revenge for her father’s murder.
The scene in question shows star Fatemeh Masoudifar leaning her head toward Mehrdad Sedighian’s chest, as he appears to place his hand over her head.
Physical contact in public between men and women who aren’t related is banned by the Islamic Republic, and the stage isn’t exempt.
But the production company said Saturday the cell phone video, filmed at a tight angle, was misleading, showing the actors closer than they were on stage at Tehran’s Book Garden, Iran International reported.
What’s more, the production company said, the two characters in the scene are brother and sister — meaning physical contact between them would not be prohibited under Islamic law.
The company said the embrace came during a moment of crisis in the story.
The New York Post also reported that singer Parastoo Ahmadi and several other musicians were sentenced to 74 lashes each and a two-year ban on performing or traveling for not wearing a hijab during a concert.

Jail would be the best outcome. They could be hanged for this. Iran has already killed 100,000 protesters. What's two more?
Of course, Hollywood and Broadway both now employ something called "intimacy coordinators" for productions. Intimacy coordinators "stage safe, consensual intimate or physical scenes," which is a remnant of the woke "Me Too" movement. To me, it's a short step from these "intimacy coordinators" to full-blown prohibitions of any physical contact between men and women in movies at all. But that's a topic for another time.
Right now, the creep of Islam is threatening to uproot all the social norms of the West in the name of its fetid theological/political ideology. In the U.K., a store recently had sex-segregated lines for a big sale event at a supermarket.

When I was in Egypt this past June, they sent me to a women-only line at Cairo airport. Sex segregation is the norm, and it's strictly enforced under Islamic law. With the rise of Islamic enclaves in the United States, is the Left — especially the celebrity class — okay with the criminal persecution of actors for simply doing their craft? Will Hollywood give up the little freedom and creativity it hasn't sacrificed to leftist politics for the sake of appeasing Muslims?

Democrat politicians are already doing this.
Last week, "She-Hulk" star Tatiana Maslany criticized actor Tom Selleck and basketball legend Michael Jordan as "cowards" for not speaking about politics. Somehow, I expect her to remain tight-lipped about this, too. Javier Bardem certainly won't speak out. Democrats who have spent the last three years screaming about "genocide" in Gaza won't say a word, either.
It would be nice if Hollywood and D.C. — who have majority support among the actor class — had actual moral courage to speak out against actual atrocities and didn't only condemn the Jews for defending themselves against Hamas and the other Islamic terrorists who would see Israel wiped off the map.
