Republican Mike Rogers will face off against radical Socialist Democrat Abdul El-Sayed for Michigan's Senate seat in November. El-Sayed eked out a narrow win over Haley Stevens in the primary, and polling shows El-Sayed trailing Rogers in the general. But we cannot take polls as gospel truth; they predicted El-Sayed would trounce Stevens and he ended up winning by about a point.
Rogers knows this, and he's reaching out to Democrats who are concerned about El-Sayed's radicalism, including his ties to terrorist organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). Today, Rogers came out with a message for Democrat voters in Michigan:

"If you're among the majority of Democratic voters that woke up on Wednesday feeling, well, hopeless, because the person who won does not represent your values, well, just know there is still hope," Rogers said. "Michigan deserves a Senator who is willing to sit with you, hear from you, and represent you."
"The parents across Michigan who want an education system that sets up their kids for success, you have a home with us. The grandparents across Michigan who are heartbroken from watching their kids and grandkids leave the state, you have a home with us. To young people who are looking for real solutions to solve our housing affordability crisis, you have a home with us. To working families who don't want higher taxes and lower paychecks, well, you have a home with us," he continued. "And to the vast majority of people across Michigan who do not want to throw their support behind a campaign filled with anger, divisiveness, calls for violence and the views that are out of touch with your values, well, you have a home with us."
"The fight is far greater than just left vs. right. The fight is for the very soul of our nation. Over the next 90 days I'm going to work hard to earn your trust, earn your support, and earn your vote. We have a state to save, Michigan. Let's get to work," Rogers said.
Contrast this message from the one spouted by Abdul El-Sayed ally and campaign partner Hasan Piker. On August 5, Piker called Haley Stevens voters "Islamophobic pieces of s**t" and called for a "Marxist-Leninist" punishment for Democrats who refuse to fall in line behind El-Sayed.
Democrats for Mike Rogers, a group that's "putting country over party," called on Democrats to vote for Rogers, noting El-Sayed is "too radical and too extreme" for Michigan.

"For one of the highest offices in the United States of America, bringing in this very controversial individual to campaign for him," said Hillary Scholten, referring to Piker. "Not only did he bring him in earlier in the campaign, he brought him in as his closer here in Michigan. You think about this."
"Elections are about choices," she continued, "what is the message that you want to send to your voters, right? And Abdul El-Sayed chose to bring in Hasan Piker. Not a Michigander, and outside podcast influencer who once said America deserved September 11. Just last week, he added a framed picture of the September 12 New York Times front page with the World Trade towers burning in the background to show off on his Twitch stream. This is who Abdul El-Sayed chose to bring in for his close."
Rogers was also endorsed by longtime Democrat Julian Epstein, who wrote about this decision in the New York Post

"Democrats aren’t coddling Scandinavian-style socialists; they’re getting into bed with a nihilistic, deconstructionist brand of third-worldism. It’s an ideology that seeks the elimination of prisons, policing, borders, the Senate, the presidency, the Supreme Court and democratic free markets. A worldview that aligns with genocidal jihadist movements like Hamas."
