Has Beto O'Rourke hired Terry MacAuliffe as his campaign advisor?

Yesterday, the loser of the 2018 US Senate race in Texas and the loser of the 2020 race for president, and the future loser of the 2022 race for Texas Governor, channeled MacAuliffe at a campaign event this week.

"We don't need to tell [a teacher] what version of history she is allowed to teach in a classroom. We don't need to scare the parents of those kids… about something called CRT that I've never heard of before last year," O'Rourke said to a handful of supporters in East Texas.

Never mind the fact that Francis (his friends call him "Francis" because that's his name) said just a handful of months ago that he didn't believe CRT should be taught in schools.

The stunning statement echoes MacAuliffe's now-infamous moment in the 2021 Virginia race when he said the quiet part out loud and proclaimed that he didn't think parents should have a say in the books used at state-run schools. After his humiliating loss, polls showed that sentiment played a significant role in the blue state sweeping Republicans in.

So, you'd think a man like O'Rourke, running for office coming after two very public losses over the past four years, would hesitate before saying that parents and taxpayers "shouldn't tell teachers" not to teach critical race theory.

You'd think.

But the left... they just can't help themselves. It appears to be part of their religious dogma to believe that they and their state actors in the government bureaucracy that is the public education system have an obligation to supersede parents' rights and responsibilities in the education of their children. They must supplant the values and priorities of parents with their own superior values and priorities.

They're the government, they know best for your children.

It gets worse.

In Loudoun County, a pro-LGBTQ+ activist group with the school system's ear is advocating a policy that would preclude teachers from divulging information about the sexual behaviors of the minors that are in their care to the minor's parents.

In a now-deleted tweet, Equality Loudoun proclaimed that children should never be "outed" to their parents by school officials, lest they be harmed and abused at home by their mothers or fathers. Teachers, they argue, should provide the safety of keeping these minor children's sexual secrets from their parents and guardians.

The group deleted their tweet, claiming they stood by the sentiment but didn't like the responses they were getting because... bigotry, don't you know.

The official position of the political left in this country, manifest through their advocacy to state schools through their elected officials and the unionized teachers in the government education system, is as follows: Intimate sexual details about a child should be secretly kept from that child's mother and father with an adult teacher or administrator representing the government.

"Your sexual secrets are safe with me... I'll never tell your mommy and daddy" is the way very bad, evil things tend to develop in unhealthy adult/child encounters. And this is the official, enlightened plan that Democrats have for your child's schools they wish to control.

Don't let them. This November, send a clear message: Hey, Democrats, leave our kids alone.
