Spin Doctors Claim Harris Won the Debate. Why, Then, Is She Asking for a Mulligan?

After a boxer leaves the ring bloodied and dejected, the first thing he does is ask for a rematch - a "do-over." When a golfer hits the ball into the woods, if it is possible, the first thing a golfer (like me) asks for is a mulligan.

Well, Vice President Kamala Harris would like another debate. Former President Donald Trump had offered three debates weeks ago, but she failed to respond.

The Democrats' strategy was to get under Trump's skin. They did so not by discussing ways to achieve peace and prosperity for America but by focusing on matters like "crowd size" and how "Black is Harris." Well, to a degree, Harris accomplished that with the help of the biased moderators.

Trump, however, controlled himself and treated her with respect, knowing that if he did not, that would be the story in the days after the debate. However, Harris did not have an answer to nearly all of the main issues.

Harris's secondary strategy was to attack Trump's weaknesses. Bizarre anecdotes like the story about immigrants eating cats, the Capitol riot on January 6, Trump's indictments, and who won the 2020 election.

Trump handled the baiting and relentless poking as well as one could. Attacking a woman does not go over well in U.S. politics - just ask Rick Lazio who did that to Hilary Clinton during a Senate race.

You have to defend yourself by using the issues as your attack tool. And Trump, to the dismay of the liberal media, did that skillfully, leaving Harris as the "smiling" but disrespectful, angry woman.

"My values have not changed," Harris said. That turns a negative into a positive. But for Harris, it is mere trickery. For example, I once heard a judge tell a jury, "You can believe what the witness is saying now or you can believe what the witness said during her deposition."

As a former prosecutor, I am sure Harris would realize that the witness has perjured herself. And that is the fundamental problem for Harris politically.

Evidence? There are videos and other recordings of Harris voicing her support for universal healthcare, which would eliminate insurance companies. She has said she is against fracking but now supports it. She has been recorded saying she supports defunding the police and reparations for slavery. I could go on. She was the most liberal/socialist senator in the entire Senate. These are all documented facts. So for her to be labeled a Marxist either directly hits the mark or is not far from it.

Show of hands for American politicians who could endure what Trump has endured because he is not your typical politician. Not many. Trump draws haters like honey draws bears.

The liberal media is determined to convince America that four more years of Democratic control of the White House is actually "turning the page."

It would be "change you can believe in." Oops, that was former President Barack Obama's slogan. For 12 of the last 16 years, the Democrats have led the country from the White House. For the last four years, Americans (as many as 72%) have cried that we are going in the wrong direction.

Trump's enemies have impeached him twice and indicted him multiple times. Trump has had his State of the Union speech ripped up on television for the world to see. He is constantly being baited and set up by the world's best haters. He was also the victim of an assassination attempt despite the authorities having ample opportunity to stop the shooter from acting.

I am unsurprised that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has joined Trump's campaign efforts. Yes, a prominent member of the proudest and most renowned Democrat family in my lifetime has walked away from today's Democrat Party. This man's father was shot and killed by a hater, and his uncle was shot and killed by a hater. Coincidentally, RFK Jr. is supporting a man that haters, like the shooter, attempted to kill.

Harris, Democrats, and the liberal media (who are complicit) all are trying to convince Americans that it is better to be led in the wrong direction by a person you "like" versus having your wagon turned around and pointed in the right direction (towards peace and prosperity) by a person you hate.

It was the grace of God that saved Trump's life. The haters, akin to the other forces in the world, must not prevail.

As Trump mentioned, Harris had 3.5 years to push and pass her so-called plans but has not even attempted to do so. Are we better off today than when Trump was in office? Harris never answered that very important and first debate question.

Also vitally important is how we tackle inflation. There was no response from Harris on that either.

When referencing her boss, President Joe Biden, her response was (to Trump), "You are not running against Joe Biden; you are running against me." OK, but she does have the same team running her campaign and she is the second half of the Biden-Harris administration. She used this sound bite to avoid answering the question about the failures of the Biden-Harris administration.

Our border crisis and her role in finding solutions? No response from her on that. We have witnessed an invasion of America by millions of illegal immigrants, and she gave no cogent response other than to blame Trump for not agreeing to the so-called border deal. It was a "deal" that would have still allowed illegal immigrants into our country. It was also a border deal designed to help "sanctuary cities" get reimbursed for the hundreds of millions of dollars each spent on housing (sometimes in hotels), food, healthcare, even debit cards, and other social services for illegal immigrants.

Another key issue, along with prosperity, is peace. During Trump's presidency, we had no wars that we financed to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. Today, we are funding two such wars - both with no end in sight.

Former President Ronald Reagan once said that America would realize peace only through strength. Thus, we have no peace because we have weak leaders (Biden-Harris) today. That is clear.

Losers ask for rematches, not winners.
