From the Gridiron to the Rose Garden — America’s Comeback Starts Here

Something powerful is happening in America — and it’s starting with our athletes.

In the past few weeks, three championship teams — the Philadelphia Eagles, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Florida Panthers — stood tall at the White House, honored for their grit, discipline, and drive. Eagles star Saquon Barkley even rode Marine One with President Trump, a moment that sent a clear message: America’s athletes are stepping back into the spotlight, and they’re standing proud for the country that made their dreams possible.

This moment is bigger than trophies. It’s bigger than titles. It’s a signal to us all that America’s spirit is alive and ready to roar again. At Athletes for America, we believe this is the start of a cultural revival, led by men and women who know how to push themselves to the limit, lead from the front, and bring people together through something bigger than politics: pride in the red, white, and blue.

Not long ago, politics drove a wedge between sports and patriotism. In 2018, the Eagles declined a White House visit. It was a low point, and athletes were caught in a political crossfire that left fans divided. But today? Today, the Eagles are back. The Buckeyes are back. The Panthers are back. And most importantly, the heart of America is back. These champions aren’t just celebrating wins — they’re rebuilding bridges, reminding us that competition, teamwork, and excellence are values that unite us, not divide us.

At the core of this comeback is one powerful word: patriotism.

Patriotism isn’t about blind loyalty. It’s about loving a country that gives you the freedom to chase your dreams, the opportunity to fight for your goals, and the pride of belonging to something greater than yourself. Every time an athlete stands with his hand over his heart and every time a packed stadium roars “USA,” that spirit is alive. And now, more than ever, our athletes are stepping up to remind us of who we are.

But this cultural comeback isn’t just about flags and anthems. It’s about action.

A strong America needs strong people. That’s why at Athletes for America, we’re pushing for a new focus on health and strength. Too many of our kids are growing up addicted to junk food and disconnected from real, hard-earned physical fitness. That’s not the American way. We need to fuel our families with real food — grown right here by American farmers — and build a nation where strength, endurance, and discipline are celebrated again. Our athletes show the way, and it’s time the rest of us follow.

Fatherhood is another pillar of this revival. Strong dads build strong homes, and strong homes build strong communities. Too many kids today grow up without a father’s steady hand, without the lessons of toughness, honor, and love that only a strong man can teach. Athletes like Saquon Barkley, who lead with character on and off the field, show the difference a strong father figure can make. We need to support policies that call men back to their highest purpose: leading their families, raising their kids with pride, and passing down the values that make America exceptional.

Michael Jordan once said, “Republicans buy sneakers, too,” reminding us that sports have the power to cut across every divide. Today’s athletes are picking up that torch and running with it, showing that health, family, and love of country aren’t Republican values or Democrat values. They’re American values. They’re team values. And the Eagles, Panthers, and Buckeyes just proved it by standing tall in the Rose Garden.

This is our moment.

At Athletes for America, we’re backing policies that rebuild strength from the ground up, supporting local farmers, fueling strong families, and celebrating the athletes who aren’t afraid to wave the flag high. We believe sports can heal this country, one championship, one community, and one family at a time.

As the Eagles, Buckeyes, and Panthers stood proudly in the Rose Garden, they weren’t simply celebrating, they were laying down a challenge to us all: Step up. Get strong. Be proud. Rally around your family, community, and country.

Because in America, we don’t sit on the sidelines. We suit up. We fight hard. And together, we win.

We are Team USA — tougher, stronger, and more united than ever.
