Did you realize there are millions of your fellow Americans on the verge of starvation? I bet you didn’t, just like you didn’t realize that every resident of Gaza starved to death at least 3 times while being bombed to death by the Israeli Defense Forces.
Yes, starting November 1st, everyone on food stamps died of malnutrition. It was in all the papers.
I don’t mean to belittle people in need, I’m all for a helping hand, but I do have a problem with people who have gravitational pull whining about what they’re entitled to not coming their way. This was foreseeable, so if you didn’t plan for what you knew could be coming, I have difficulty getting worked up about it. Many food stamp recipients have children who get breakfast and lunch at school, so they’re only responsible for one freaking meal per day for their kid – and there was no corresponding decrease in food stamp money when the schools supplanted 2/3rd of their responsibility – so the idea that people couldn’t go a couple of weeks is insane. And that’s to say nothing about all the private food banks, etc.
At what point are people responsible for themselves and their kids? Shouldn’t there be some expectation on these people? If they can’t meet an incredibly low bar…
Democrats don’t care; they see only opportunity.
Nancy Pelosi is now fundraising on the EBT card recharge issue. “BREAKING: TRUMP BUILDS $300 MILLION BALLROOM AS FOOD STAMPS SET TO EXPIRE FOR 40 MILLION AMERICANS,” reads the headline in a fundraising email from the leader of the Democrats.
Pelosi continued, “This is horrifying. FIRST: Donald Trump SHUT DOWN the government to try to SLASH the Affordable Care Act once and for all. THEN: He tore down the historic East Wing of the White House – the people’s house – to build a $300 MILLION ballroom for himself and his billionaire MAGA donors!”
Forget the fact that it takes someone weaned on lead paint chips to believe anything people like Nancy Pelosi say – I put it this way: those Nigerian Prince emails must work on some people or else the scammers would stop sending them. Pelosi’s emails are the same type of thing.
“NOW: He’s refusing to use emergency funds to keep food on the table of millions of Americans who depend on lifesaving food assistance that is about to EXPIRE because of the Republican shutdown – just as Trump’s Project 2025 agenda always envisioned. It’s cruel. It’s shameful. It’s sinful. It’s un-American,” says the woman who saw her net worth increase by hundreds of millions of dollars while “serving” in Congress.
Then she concludes, “So I’m marshaling a HUGE wave of support to FLIP the House, BLOCK Trump’s agenda, and hold him ACCOUNTABLE for his cruelty and extremism. Please, I wouldn’t ask unless it was important. We can’t let Republicans get away with their cruel, dangerous schemes. Will you rush $15 before the End of Month Deadline in 24 hours to reclaim our Majority and make their extremism BACKFIRE?”
Note how she’s raising money for herself and Democrats, not one dime for a sandwich for a “starving kid.” That’s like stepping over a hungry homeless person to take a homelessness advocate to lunch to talk about ways to fight hunger among homeless people.
You really have to wonder if these people are aware of what they’re doing. Pelosi is – she’s evil, not stupid – but the people who read it are who I’m talking about. Do Democrat donors not realize they’re being scammed?
How does the idea of giving money to food banks rather than politicians not occur to these people? Are they so conditioned to obey that the prospect of questioning anything from their leaders does not cross their mind?
Nothing crosses their mind, as the entire Democrat establishment exists to prevent critical thinking. It brings in millions for their party and is the basis for pretty much everything they do or say, so why would they start thinking now?
