Congressman Adam Schiff is a joke. Not a funny joke, although there are elements of him worth laughing at, but a sick joke unleashed on the American people by the morons who inhabit California’s 28th congressional district. That stupid people vote surprises no one, that there are so many stupid people in the country needs to worry everyone.
Adam Schiff is raising money left and right, desperately trying to fill his campaign coffers allegedly for his upcoming race against whatever sacrificial Republican volunteers to put their name on the ballot against him. That’s not even true, actually, thanks to California’s dumb primary system that takes the top 2 vote-getters in the primary and pits them against each other. There’s no guarantee Schiff will face a Republican next year, it could easily be another Democrat. But that prospect hasn’t stopped Adam from begging for cash.
In 2020, Schiff only faced a Republican because one got 1,114 more votes than a Democrat in their primary. Of course, Schiff got 87,008 more votes in that primary than the Republican did, and went on to win the general election with 72.7 percent of the vote. Like I said, there are a lot of dumb people in Schiff’s district.
Still, Schiff wants your money for his campaign, or so the fundraising emails say. In one of his latest campaign emails, this left-wing hack writes, “Bipartisanship used to be lauded in Washington. Overcoming partisan differences and rising to the challenge of getting things done has been key to our nation’s success, and the success of our democracy. But the GOP is working to tear that down. And what’s worse, they’re proud of it.”
Can you name one consequential piece of legislation where Adam Schiff has been both bipartisan and essential? There isn’t one.
Schiff’s response to not getting his way is, for lack of a more-perfect word, Naziesque. Here’s what he claims: “For our political system to work and flourish, we need two functional political parties. Right now, it’s clear we only have one. So how do we move forward? First, we must abolish the filibuster. Republicans in the House won’t work with us, and Mitch McConnell can’t continue to rule from the minority. Once we abolish the filibuster, we will have no time to lose. We must pass real policies that voters demanded in the November election — and beat the odds in the midterms. Voting rights, healthcare, climate change, student debt, and much more are on the line.”
For our system to “work” we have to destroy it and quickly impose our will on the public. You see, compromise to a fascist like Adam Schiff means him getting everything he wants while giving nothing in return. Your average 5-year-old has the same understanding for the word.
That brings us back to why Schiff is so desperate to raise money for a campaign he knows he’s going to win. The answer is pretty easy, when you think about it: he wants a promotion.
Nancy Pelosi is old, very old. This is likely her last term as Speaker of the House. Steny Hoyer, her second in command, is just as old as she is. Their third ranking member is James Clyburn, who is also 80. They’re all old, way over the hill, and unlikely to remain in those positions long, if at all. The younger Democrats owe them nothing, and have even less respect for them.
That reality leaves a void in the leadership of Democrats in the House in the very near future. Adam Schiff clearly wants to fill that void.
By raising a lot of money he doesn’t need for his campaign, he can legally give that money to other campaigns, obviously Democrats, to ingratiate himself to them. If he spreads enough of his campaign cash around, he will have support from a lot of voting members who will pick the next leader of Democrats in the House.
Schiff wants a promotion, he’s an ambitious man, and he knows he’s too white and male to be elected to the Senate from California, and likely has no desire to demote himself to a run for Governor. Leadership, either in the majority or minority, in the House is pretty much his only move.
That’s his play, mark it. Adam Schiff is positioning himself for a leadership role in the House of Representatives. That may sound absurd to you, but would you ever think any of the people leftists idolize and elect would be anything but laughed at?
