Americans do not have a lot of faith in either side of the political aisle. Congress is bouncing from its lowest ratings ever. This year, there have been scandals and unanswered questions, mixed with the mishandling of ISIS and Ebola, sending President Obama's ratings spiraling downward. According to the Washington Post, his favorable rating of 44% is the lowest of his presidency.

I have heard the rally cry for years now, “Let's take back our country.” Well, if all goes according to the experts, we will begin today, but like anyone who is broken, something must stir inside Americans to believe again. Today's election results will not be a magic wand that will take the nation back to yesteryear; only real conviction and true leadership can do that, so Republicans get ready to step up or find the appetite for change to remain a revolving door.

For now, I am thinking there could be a kind of jolt that could even make President Obama shift toward the center... after all, wouldn't that be the demands of the public if there were another shellacking?
