Hollywood's Debate Rage Against Trump

The opinions expressed by columnists are their own and do not necessarily represent the views of Townhall.com.

In the aftermath of the final presidential debate, some pundits were struck dead that Donald Trump would be so rude as to describe Hillary Clinton as a "nasty woman." Would you like a lesson in the meaning of hypocrisy? Let's see what their colleagues said about Trump after the debate.

On Comedy Central, "The Daily Show" host Trevor Noah described Trump as a "giant novelty dildo ... on stage behind the podium."

On CBS, "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert mocked Trump's rear end, saying, "I guess we're all going to have to wait until Nov. 9 to find out if we still have a country -- if Donald Trump is the mood for a peaceful transfer of power, or if he's just gonna wipe his fat ass with the Constitution." He then turned to British actor Hugh Laurie, who played Dr. Gregory House on "House," for medical advice for the candidates, and Laurie quipped, "I mean, it may be too late, but for Trump I would suggest breast-feeding."

The night before, Colbert aired a segment in which he interviewed President Obama and asked him not to endorse a candidate but rather which snack he preferred: "Would you care for an extra-fiber nutrient bar, which has traveled to more than 100 countries, or this shriveled tangerine, covered in golden retriever hair, filled with bile, that I wouldn't leave alone with the woman I loved."

On ABC, Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump was so reserved "his voice was at, like, a phone-sex whisper the whole time."

Then, there are the celebrity tweeters. At the top of the Hate Parade was Rosie "Mind of a 2-Year-Old" O'Donnell, who tweeted: "We are women hear us roar you orange mutha f-----. This pro-life moderator from Fox sucks." She has also called Trump an "orange anus," "anus mouth" and a "delusional turd."

Comedian Sarah Silverman tweeted, "If Melania (Trump) doesn't divorce that orange boil first thing 11/9 I'll be flummoxed to tha max." She also called him an "orange t---."

Comedian Patton Oswalt also liked that theme. He said, "Hillary has grabbed Trump by the p---- and is swinging him around the room."

TV host Bill Maher tweeted, "If Trump was any more of a p---- he'd have to grab himself." He also mocked Trump's pro-life stance, saying, "Trump on fetuses: In 20 years, they'll be dating me!" (For the record, Maher is 60 years old, and his current girlfriend is 33. His last girlfriend before that is now also 33.)

The most jaw-dropping Twitter hypocrite was "Saturday Night Live" actress Leslie Jones, who was celebrated by the liberal media after she was harassed on Twitter surrounding her role in the 2016 "Ghostbusters" movie. Twitter bullies used words like "ape" and "coon" to malign her. But during the debate it was Jones who was hate-tweeting at Trump. One of them said: "You honored by NRA. Man you are the f------ devil!" Another fiery tweet exclaimed: "Shut the F--- up and let me talk f-----! You damn fool! You damn fool! F------ joke! You should have to leave the country when you lose."

Hollywood is just copying Hillary Clinton who when faced with Trump talking about abortion doctors ripping babies apart in the third trimester, posed as a scold for civil discourse, saying, "using that kind of scare rhetoric is just terribly unfortunate." Clinton didn't even try to protest when Trump denounced her support for a procedure that is pure evil -- killing an unborn baby one day, or even one hour before birth.

But calling her a "nasty woman" is unfair.
