Gilded Reframe – THE NEW YORK TIMES

  • This will upset plenty of outlets (but will not stop them…)

On this, the day when the Epstein Files were set to be released, it has been rather quiet across the news landscape. After all, this has been an all-consuming topic in the media since – well, at least since the inauguration.

Yet we are not hearing too much excitement over this in the press. Maybe it is because after the past few weeks of carefully curated releases, the main people to become implicated were Democrats, such as Hakeem Jeffries and Stacey Plaskett.

And now, The Times comes out with more details that dump cold water on the vigorous fire of media accusations:

The Times interviewed more than 30 former Epstein employees, victims of his abuse and others who crossed paths with the two men over the years. The Times also obtained new documents that illuminate their relationship and scoured court documents and other public records. Over the years, Mr. Epstein or his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, introduced at least six women who have accused them of grooming or abuse to Mr. Trump, according to interviews, court testimony and other records. One was a minor at the time. None have accused Mr. Trump himself of inappropriate behavior.

Try as they might, nothing has emerged to live up to the accusatory atmosphere.

News Avoidance Syndrome – VARIOUS OUTLETS

  • Hard to choose which aspect to ignore!

Earlier this week, there was some outrage when a Virginia District Attorney released a man without bail after an attempted murder. Then there was even more outrage when, within a day, he was picked up for successfully committing a murder.

Now there are several details here to make the press squirm: The leniency of a Soros-backed DA, the fact that this was an illegal alien, that he killed a citizen, and/or the fact that he had not been properly turned over to ICE for detention.

For these reasons, it is not surprising to find out that the amount of coverage this received on the network newscasts amounted to ZERO.

Demo-lition Project – MS NOW

  • Do they not understand that we can see the graph?!

The gang over at "The Network Formerly Known As MSNBC" has come out with a post touting its ratings success. This was something of a surprise to those of us who have followed their dissolving ratings, and then we saw why this was the case.

In trying to claim they have achieved the highest numbers in a decade, they have to ignore that they are at a level below where they had been for the past eight years, including a steep drop since 2020. But go ahead, celebrate, gang.

Low-Octane Gaslighting – CNN

  • The woman who detracts from the "quality" on The View.

There was this rather glaring dose of desperate inaccuracy seen on Abby Phillip's latest octagon-style panel when Ana Navarro made a critique of our efforts in Venezuela. This is being done so President Trump can distract us from the post he made about the death of Rob Reiner.

To repeat: We are attacking drug boats in the Atlantic Ocean to divert attention away from a social media post:

I think part of this is to distract, to distract from the fact that I think that Rob Reiner… no, you might laugh, but I think he's getting criticism from Republicans. And I always think that- that part of what Trump does is to distract. He does all sorts of things. He’s a master distractor.

Newseum Art Installation – THE GUARDIAN

  • Making him sound austere is a bad look, mates.

We have this disturbing gem of a headline from the Aussie version of the British outlet.

How no one there thought this could have used some more work is…telling, but thank you for the donation.
