Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ rhetoric and policies have caused a crisis at our southern border, and after seeing the effects first hand, I can tell you - it’s chaos.
I went to the border in June of 2019 and saw for myself that President Trump’s tough policies on immigration worked, but now, migrants are surging to our southern border because Biden told them to come. In fact, Joe Biden said he’d “be flattered” if people were flocking to the US-Mexico border because of him.
Now, Joe Biden is getting what he wished for - tens of thousands of immigrants surging our southern border and creating a crisis, unlike anything we’ve ever seen.
Biden’s border crisis is worse than it looks on television.
Children are left to fend for themselves. Dangerous criminals like MS-13 gang members, drug traffickers, human traffickers and even terrorists are taking advantage of the situation and trying to sneak into our country.
And instead of enforcing our immigration laws, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are reversing President Trump’s America First agenda and hand-stringing our border patrol officers from carrying out their mission.
For instance, Joe Biden ended President Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy, which forced migrants to wait in Mexico until their court dates instead of putting unnecessary strains on our border patrol officers. Biden sent a message to all migrants by eliminating this border safety policy: our borders are open.
Because of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’ lack of leadership - your town is now a border town.
And not only are our borders open, the Democrats are promising incentives to illegal immigrants. They want to use your taxpayer dollars to fund abortions on demand and put them in line for healthcare in front of your family. That’s just wrong.
And all the while, instead of visiting the border, Joe Biden has been traveling around the world - seeing his old friends and selling out America at every turn. And Kamala Harris? She flew to El Paso, Texas, for a photoshoot at a border patrol facility instead of visiting the epicenter of the border crisis in the Rio Grande Valley and getting to the bottom of this chaos.
Do you remember the “outrage” then-Senator Kamala Harris expressed when she visited a border facility in 2018? Where was that same energy during her recent border visit? Non-existent.
Right now, our country is missing the bold leadership President Trump provided.
I was with him at the southern border - we saw the effects of Biden and Harris’ policies and lack of leadership. We saw the tiredness in border patrol officers’ eyes. And we saw the impact of not building the wall - mayhem and confusion.
We need to take back control of our country. We need to get back to implementing President Trump’s America First agenda that strengthened law and order.
We can end this crisis quickly by finishing building the wall at our southern border. The barrier proved to be an effective tool in deterring illegal immigration and stopping the flow of drugs into America. We also need to continue President Trump’s immigration reforms like ending “catch and release” and replacing it with “detain and remove.” These are the policies we need to get back to implementing and enforcing.
And I can tell you, after spending an entire day with President Trump, his energy is contagious and his passion for our country remains strong. I have renewed strength in finishing building the wall and putting America first, always.
It’s time that we reminded Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the radical Left that we are a nation of law and order. It’s time for true conservative leaders to step up and fight back against the socialist agenda and provide real leadership.
It’s time to take a stand, to build the wall, and to Make America Great Again.
