White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders thanked CNN’s Jim Acosta on Twitter Thursday for a video in which he intended to demonstrate that there was no “crisis” at the border by describing the tranquility of the border near a spot with a wall.
“When I went with President @realDonaldTrump to the border today I never imagined @Acosta would be there doing our job for us and so clearly explaining why WALLS WORK,” she tweeted. “Thanks Jim!”

Sanders wasn’t the only one to point out that frequent Trump critic Acosta was making the Trump administration’s case for them.
Many on Twitter, including GOP lawmakers, joined in to explain to Acosta that the community was tranquil because “walls work.”
Looks like CNN just learned why we need to build the wall. https://t.co/X0INY6oLlX
