At least 161 people have died during an overnight coup attempt by the Turkish military against the established government.

The latest news is that a total of 2,839 military officers have been detained, a source in the President's office said.

Meanwhile, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Nice, France that left nearly 100 people dead.

The Amaq Agency statement, which was posted by ISIS supporters, said a source told the agency that "the person who carried out the run over in Nice, France, is one of the Islamic State soldiers and carried out the operation in response to calls to target nationals of the coalition which is fighting the Islamic State."
