Virginia Man Who Joined ISIS Has Been Captured

According to the Kurdish media service Rudaw, a man from Alexandria, Virginia has been captured by Peshmerga military forces in Iraqi Kurdistan after mistaking the territory for Turkey.

Muhammad Jamal Amin is a Virginia-born American citizen from a Palestinian father and Iraqi mother from Mosul.

The  Peshmerga commander said that Amin had entered Syria from Turkey two months ago from where he had traveled to Mosul.

Pictures of the man's belongings show a vertical Virginia driver's license, a Capitol One Quicksilver credit car, several hundred dollars U.S., and a Burke and Herbert Bank Visa card.
