Biden Border Crisis: US Officials Just Announced a Shocking, Record-Shattering Statistic

Most of the political media's bandwidth is consumed by the Israel war and the dysfunction in the House of Representatives, but an important reality that cannot be ignored is that President Biden's border crisis is raging hotter than ever.  As we approach the end of year three of Biden's presidency, we've seen many months of breathtaking statistics at the southern border.  Over the weekend, US Border Patrol officials released the latest border numbers, and it cannot be emphasized enough that the situation has spiraled to an all-time low.

For perspective, Biden has presided over the worst illegal immigration influx in the nation's history.  And September was the worst month yet:

Nearly 270,000 encounters last month alone, the highest level ever. That number does not include known or unknown 'got-aways,' which typically number in the tens of thousands. It's nearly a certainty that well over 300,000 illegal immigrants entered the United States last month. In Fiscal Year 2023, which just concluded, American officials encountered almost two-and-a-half million illegal immigrants. The president's home state has fewer than one million residents. Take the population of Delaware, multiply it by 2.5, and that's still fewer people than were encountered at the border in a single year. Many of these illegal immigrants were briefly processed and simply released into the US, some facing court dates (many will not show up) years into the future.  Again, the 2.475 million figure does not entail hundreds of thousands of 'got-aways' -- that we know of. The total number of got-aways on Biden's watch is estimated to be in the 1.5 to 2 million range.  More context:

In the final year of the Trump administration, illegal encounters had been contained to less than half-a-million, under a cocktail of successful policies and deterrents. In Biden's first year, that number almost quadrupled. It deteriorated badly the following year. And the just-concluded fiscal year was somehow even worse. The Biden administration tells us that the border is "closed" and "secure," with media outlets claiming conservatives' open borders criticisms are based on a "myth." Melugin also reports that under Biden's quasi-legal 'parole' regime, a huge number of people have been granted access to the United States, with no realistic mechanism to ever remove them:

Since CBP began mass paroling/admitting migrants into the country in January via the CBP One app at ports of entry, CBP reports nearly 278,000 migrants have scheduled appointments via the app, w/ the top nationalities being Haitian, Mexican, and Venezuelan. Parole status makes them eligible to apply for work permits. Parole status lasts for 2 years, then individuals are supposed to leave the US unless they get an extension or some other form of legal status. The Biden admin has granted hundreds of thousands of paroles since 2021, despite federal law mandating it be granted only on a “case by case basis” for “significant public benefit” or “urgent humanitarian reasons.” ICE does not have the resources or manpower to find & remove all of those who stay past their legal authorization - on top of trying to find & deport those who crossed the border illegally. CBP sources tell us most of these individuals are now here to stay.

Given the renewed global focus on terrorism, this is another extremely disturbing piece of information:

We recently covered the known criminals captured at the border, official statistics that include neither those who were insufficiently vetted, nor the 'got-aways.' We asked how many within the latter category were dangerous people. The same question clearly applies to the terror watch list, too. It's not fear-mongering to express real concern about the fact that the US government, by its own admission, has absolutely no idea who nearly two million people are, who've entered the country illegally during the Biden administration. Especially when the Department of Homeland Security is apparently hiring people like this to screen 'asylum seekers' (content warning for language):

Feeling secure? How was she not screened out of this job?  These jaw-dropping, crisis levels of illegal immigration, coupled with Texas' successful push to export a fraction of the problem to 'sanctuary' jurisdictions all over the country, have moved public opinion.  Biden's approval rating on immigration is scraping the bottom of the barrel, and support for building a border wall has spiked to a record high:

A majority of Americans disapprove of how the government has handled border security and support the construction of a wall on the southern border, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday. Seventy-one percent of registered voters surveyed said that current levels of security at the U.S. border are not strict enough, with a majority of Democrats and Biden voters saying that more needed to be done to secure the border with Mexico. Eighty-two percent of independents voiced their disapproval with current border policies...A further 57 percent of those surveyed said they were in favor of building a border wall. Among independents, that number was 53 percent. Forty-nine percent of Hispanic voters and 40 percent of Black voters also voiced their support for the wall...The results are a reversal from past polling, which had consistently shown that most Americans opposed the construction of a wall. Back in January 2019, 58 percent of Americans said they opposed expanding the border wall...

Quinnipiac similarly measured majority support for building the wall in its latest national survey. As for the problem of where to put the millions of illegal immigrants arriving into America every year, one of the most pro-illegal-immigration cities in the country is again facing serious pushback among its own residents:

The Alderwoman later condemned the protesters as being in the thrall of "right-wing, anti-immigrant" forces.  Take a look at the video.  Do these demonstrators -- Hispanics and other people of color -- look like typical right-wingers? Chicago's mayor, who rarely seems to have a negative word to say about criminals, also blasted these rowdy residents (some are accused of engaging in a physical altercation) who don't want a tent city of illegal migrants erected in their neighborhood.
