Following in the footsteps of Omarosa Manigault-Newman, Michael Wolff, and others who had access to the Trump White House, former Trump staffer Cliff Sims has reportedly written an unflattering expose on the 45th president.
Getting ahead of the imminent backlash that will arise from "Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House," Trump dismissed Sims on Twitter Tuesday morning as a "low level staffer."
A low level staffer that I hardly knew named Cliff Sims wrote yet another boring book based on made up stories and fiction. He pretended to be an insider when in fact he was nothing more than a gofer. He signed a non-disclosure agreement. He is a mess!

Sims had the chance to respond live on CNN as soon as Trump published the tweets. It seemed as though he was expecting it.

Sims said something to the effect that his faith will let the criticism just roll off his back.
"My identity is not wrapped up in being a Trump staffer," Sims said. "My identity is who I am wrapped up in my faith. I know who Jesus says I am. It doesn't matter to me what Donald Trump or anyone else says."
Then, his team announced that they're pursuing a lawsuit against the author.

Last year, former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman wrote "Unhinged: An Insider's Account of the Trump White House." In the book, she claims that Trump repeatedly used racist rhetoric, insulted his senior staff, etc.
Then we had author Michael Wolff, who published "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House." It was a very popular book and he became a very popular guy, getting some serious airtime on the main news networks. That is, until those networks realized he has a tendency to stretch the truth. That's not just me saying that - he himself admitted in the book.
"Sometimes I have let the players offer their versions, in turn allowing the reader to judge them," he explains at the beginning of the book. "In other instances I have, through a consistency in the accounts and through sources I have come to trust, settled on a version of events I believe to be true."
Wolff also stepped in hot water by fueling a salacious and evidentially empty rumor about a Trump-Nikki Haley affair.
Last but not least, let's not forget that still anonymous "senior staffer" in the White House who published an op-ed ripping nearly every Trump policy he or she could and described themselves as part of the resistance.
